We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am heavily inspired by nature and the empowerment of women.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Painting has always been an interest of mine, even though I wasn’t granted the chance to receive formal training. My parents were skeptical about art as a viable career since it was unfamiliar to them. For many years, I dreamed of becoming a role model in a field where I saw no representation during my childhood. So eight years ago I began painting and have since taught myself to become a fine artist.

My oil paintings mainly focus on empowering Black women, portraying their confidence, inspiration, elegance, and beauty. Each brushstroke is a tribute to the strength and resilience that black women represent.

My artwork expresses my gratitude for nature and celebrates the essence of Black womanhood. By depicting their grace and poise, I hope to inspire others to recognize and appreciate the profound impact Black women have had on our culture and history. Each painting is an ode to their unwavering dignity and the beauty of their spirit.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start with a peaceful morning visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Here, amidst the stunning array of flowers, plants, and sculptures, where we can find endless inspiration and tranquility. Following this, a serene stroll through Piedmont Park would provide both a connection to nature and opportunities for delightful people-watching from a comfortable distance.

Next, a visit to the High Museum of Art would offer a chance to explore a diverse collection of artworks in a quiet, air-conditioned environment. The museum often features both classic and contemporary pieces that could spark new creative ideas.

Then end the weekend with a leisurely drive to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area would be perfect for a picnic or sketching session as the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the expansive landscapes. This combination of natural beauty, artistic stimulation, and peaceful solitude creates an ideal outing for an artistically inclined introvert.
