Meet Thành (mike) Nguyễn | Creator & Collector

We had the good fortune of connecting with Thành (mike) Nguyễn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thành (Mike), what makes you happy? Why?
Creating makes me happy. The idea of turning a brainstorm of thoughts into something tangible is very rewarding in a sense of bringing something from nothing into something very real feels very surreal to me. The work I do never feels tedious, as it’s fueled by my drive to spread my version of creativity into the world. But in the end, having a family and girlfriend that’s supportive of me gives me the drive and passion of doing what I do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I dedicate myself fully to each creation, striving to achieve the highest quality possible. My versatility allows me to explore various mediums, enhancing my artistic expression. I take immense pride in every piece I produce, as each one reflects my passion and commitment. My motivation for creating art stems from a desire to bring joy to others. Although the journey has been fraught with challenges, I have learned to navigate these obstacles, particularly those of a mental nature, which have become more manageable over time.
My current position is a result of my commitment to personal growth and relentless perseverance. Through my art, I aspire not only to inspire others but also to encourage them to pursue their own dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To start off, we would visit Wasteland Gaming and if we’re daring enough, we’d dabble in some trading cards. Their environment is incredibly welcoming, making even those uninterested in trading cards feel at ease. Another option is that we could go shopping at Teso Life or maybe we could explore the grand city of Atlanta. There’s plenty of food options to choose from. We could get Korean Fried Chicken at Cafe Mixx, a go-to of mine, we could get amazing birria tacos at the El Ranchito Supermarket for a taste of authenticity, or my personal favorite, Pancake House for their amazing chocolate drop pancakes. For entertainment, we could spend time at Level Up Games, which is a fun trading card center that also has tabletop games and a comic book center. If it’s a nice day out, I’d love to visit the courts and play some pickleball. If we’re feeling snack-y we’re definitely grabbing some ice cream at Tea Leaf and Creamery for their custard taiyaki. For dinner, options would be either ramen or Korean-BBQ. We could dine at Ton Ton Ramen & Yakitori or we could go to E.M. BOP K-BBQ with either option being the correct choice. To finish the nights, we’re going to Glam 104 to dance the night away/sing our hearts out, or we can wind down and relax at Lavie’s Head Spa. After a good night’s rest, we’re waking up bright and early to get breakfast at Flavor Rich, one of my favorite comfort food joints in Georgia. There are so many things to do in the area, and the hardest part is choosing which venture to do. Excitement is the word that comes to mind, as disappointment feels unlikely in a place like this.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout everyone’s that’s been close to me and the ones who have stuck with me throughout my journey. Something that has started out as a small passion project has evolved into something that I could have never imagined. I’d like to shoutout my mom, my brother, my girlfriend, my cousins, and my supporters for motivating me into continuing this niche that I believe in and for keeping me focused on a dream that is turning into a reality. This is no independent project, and I would have never continued to do what I do if it weren’t for the people surrounding me.
