We had the good fortune of connecting with Teria Branch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teria, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance is a concept that is often discussed. It has been a topic of interest for many years and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Work-life balance can be defined as “how an individual manages the various aspects of their life (work, family, leisure time)”.

Work-life balance is not limited to one’s personal life, it also encompasses how an individual manages their work responsibilities.

The balance between work and other areas of one’s life varies from person to person. I enjoy a healthy work-life balance as opposed to always having to juggle everything and never having enough time for myself and the life that I am building.

This is a skill that I crafted over time. Although, I am sure my organization and time management abilities helped make sure that I prioritize what was important alongside my goals was key. One way to help achieve this balance is by compartmentalizing your time.

For example, during my workday, I will block off certain times for emails, making calls, or attending meetings. This way I am more focused and can get tasks done efficiently. Other activities such as taking a break for lunch or going for a walk help me clear my head and come back to work with fresh ideas.

Evaluating what works best for me and creating a routine, allows me to have some control in my life. Additionally, talking with family about my work schedule allows them to plan around me which makes it less stressful for all of us when major life changes happen.

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to finding a work-life balance that works best for you; it is something that needs to be tailored to fit your lifestyle. What is important is that you take the time to figure out what works best for you and then make sure to stick to it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a multipreneur who owns Skyline Admin and Propark Realty. Skyline Admin provides administrative, marketing, and consulting services to healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs. At Propark Realty, I invest in mobile homes and help sellers sell their home and buyers buy a mobile home. I also fix and flip mobile homes.

The main motivation for starting my businesses was to help others. I wanted to provide a service that would make people’s lives easier. I also wanted to create jobs and opportunities for others. While helping families achieve the current American Dream of obtaining affordable housing. Quality, ethics, and values is what really set my business apart from others. No one really believes in 1st class customer experience, but I do. Delivering 1st class customer service give customers that WOW experience.

I am excited to share this year Skyline Admin will be adding team members and Propark Realty, has helped six families throughout the state of Alabama and Georgia sell and buy a mobile.

I guess you can say I was birth with a business mindset. My father was an independent contractor who provided roofing, plumbing, and mechanic services to his client. As I grew older I learned a lot from him and my mentors. The journey has not been easy but well worth it.

I could not have got this far without experiencing some bumps in the road. I did not stop when things got hard. I continue to press on. Being consistent is key to a successful business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start with brunch in the morning at The Beverly, massages at Heal Thyself, and Dinner at Blaze or Juicy Crab or Juicy Crawfish. Of course we will visit some fun spots to take photos at like Piedmont Park, Botanical Gardens, Zoo Atlanta, and the Beltline.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I will like to thank God who is above. Without him I could not have made it this far. I would also like to give credit to my parents, my children, a few friends and mentors whom I encountered along my journey.
