Meet Te’A | ATLANTA LASH ARTIST & EDUCATOR

We had the good fortune of connecting with Te’A and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Te’A, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is, “Anything worth having is worth fighting for” by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I really resonate with this quote because, it encourages me to embrace my journey as a Lash Artist, no matter the obstacles along the way. The things that truly matter in life often require effort, perseverance, and sacrifice. It serves as a reminder that the hard work I put in today could lead to unexpected success tomorrow—success that often comes when you least expect it. Giving up is simply not an option for me. Each challenge has been a stepping stone, shaping me into not only a stronger woman but also a more resilient businesswoman. I’ve learned to appreciate the hardships because they’ve been essential in refining my skills, building my character, and growing my business. This journey has taught me that the struggle is never wasted—it’s all part of the bigger picture.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is the passion I pour into everything I do. To know me is to know that whether the task is big or small, it will always be done with love and dedication. I’ve always been meticulous in my work, and for me, creativity isn’t just a skill—it’s a lifestyle. Being a Lash Artist is incredibly fulfilling because I get to bring visions to life. I love watching the transformation from start to finish, and nothing compares to the satisfaction of seeing the final result. But the most rewarding part of being a Lash Artist and educator is seeing my clients’ reactions. It truly brightens my day to know that I’m helping women feel more beautiful and confident in themselves.
I’ve reached where I am today through faith and determination. The journey hasn’t been easy, and it certainly wasn’t a straight path. Not everyone will see or understand the vision you have for yourself, but that’s okay. It’s important to block out the outside noise and focus on what you believe in. Stay true to your vision, even when others may not understand it—it’s your journey, and only you can shape it.
Relocating from New York to Atlanta has definitely been one of my most challenging tasks. I went from being overbooked to feeling overlooked, simply because I was new to the area. In a way, though, I’m grateful for the challenge because it pushed me to embrace consistency. Being new here has forced me to create and post content consistently, something I hadn’t fully prioritized before. I never really took professional marketing and branding seriously until I made the move to Atlanta, but now I see how essential they are to growing my business.
I want others to know that it’s okay to take a few steps back in order to take a few steps forward. Sometimes, we need that pause to realign and refocus. Once you shift your perspective, you start to see that every challenge, every setback, and every closed door is a teachable moment. I never fully appreciated closed doors until recently. They’ve shown me that sometimes what we think is a loss is actually a redirection toward something greater. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that I must include God in everything I do and everything I desire to do. When God removes something from your life, trust that He will replace it with something even better—ten times more. In due time, the process will reveal itself, and what’s meant for you will unfold. But until then, be patient, stay grounded, and always keep the faith.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I’d take them to a few of my favorite spots! Personally, I’m more of an activity person than a foodie, although food is always a great addition to the fun. We’d definitely hit up the Aquarium for a beautiful and immersive experience. I’d also take them to try aerial silk yoga, which is such a fun and unique workout. We’d challenge ourselves at Beat the Bomb and unwind in the Break Room, and I’d make sure we catch a movie at a drive-in theater. As for food, I’d take them to Southern Fire Kitchen for some amazing Southern comfort food, Little Alley Steakhouse for an upscale dining experience, and Toast for a relaxed brunch spot. Copper Cove is another must-visit for fresh seafood and a great vibe. And that’s just the start—there’s so much to explore!
Of course, I can’t forget about the mall! My two favorite malls in Atlanta are Phipps Plaza and Perimeter Mall—they’ve got everything you need. For some beautiful scenery, we’d definitely hit up the BeltLine. I’m a sucker for the lights at night, so the atmosphere there is always a vibe I love. It’s the perfect place to walk around, enjoy the views, and soak in the energy of the city!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to take a moment to dedicate a heartfelt shoutout to my family, friends, and all of my incredible clients. Thank you for your endless support. It’s your belief in me and your hopes to see me succeed that truly keeps me going. Becoming an entrepreneur at 19 was no easy task, but having such a strong support system has motivated me to strive for greater achievements. There have been countless times when I needed help to keep my business afloat, and my village has always been there for me. I am beyond grateful for each of you!
