We had the good fortune of connecting with Sunni Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sunni, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about the industry that I feel outsiders are unaware of is probably the mental ability it takes to be an entrepreneur and balance out life, yourself, your kids etc. I don’t think people understand the hurt behind thinking your family and friends are going to support you more than strangers. People withholding information because they know if you get it you gone make something out of it! I had to learn people envy when you start triggering the parts of them you’re exceeding in. Healing is very much essential but from one entrepreneur to another I’ll say keep going, have faith & Manifest your way to the top.

What should our readers know about your business?
So before I got into Law Enforcement. I was a full time entrepreneur now it’s just part time. I am a hairstylist, I am a Licensed Tax and Life Agent, I am a Notary Public, I am an Author, I’m a Recording Artist, and a mother. Is it easy? Definitely not. I have a lot to balance and motherhood is the biggest. Trying to not get distracted or discouraged, Trying not to take my frustration out on my kids when something triggering me. Trying to have mental and emotional intelligence when different obstacles hit your life is a lot. While trying to let go of the things that no longer serve you so you can get to a higher purpose. I’m learning to stand my ground, heal from past hurt and pain, stay in my lane, in my life, don’t seek validation from others, stop comparing yourself to other people and their lifestyle. Learn you, love you, and be happy with yourself and your circumstances cause things get better. Pain and hurt only comes from you allowing it to enter into your life, your body, your world. Everything is a choice and once you’re tired of being tired you would change. I use the motto. Change and growth is everyday and if you aren’t changing that means your staying the same and if you are staying the same then you aren’t growing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestfriend was coming to visit me for a week I’ll definitely have an itinerary. When she gets in that day would just be a wind down vibe drink some wine type of night. That Tuesday morning I’d cook a big breakfast just cause I appreciate her being here. Then we would probably have a spa day and go for lunch. Afterwards I probably would want to go to an arcade that evening so we can bring out our inner child. Afterwards back home chilling vibing making TikTok’s. Wednesday we can go to a water park and enjoy the day. Thursday we could come up with a recipe food and wine and we could make vision board posters of how we want our life to go Friday bowling & bar! Saturday maybe we can partake at a lounge. Sunday church and see her off!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To be honest, it was a lot of things that played a part in my journey. From prayer, to meditation, to the negative comments, my kids, the betrayals & let’s not forget fighting through difficult obstacles while trying to brand your business. It’s definitely a lot but the goal has always been to never give up so ima put my big girl drawls on & keep leveling! On the real though, shoutout to god himself. I really feel like my life on autopilot & god directing it. The things I’m experiencing now I probably would’ve never been able to get through if spirit wasn’t there.
