We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Carse and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steven, what do you attribute your success to?
Constantly considering and nurturing our company culture. It has evolved dramatically over the years, but it is the one thing that keeps our brand fresh and authentic. We insist on people bringing their full selves to work, and try our best to celebrate them.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
King of Pops makes some of the best pops in the world (we think they are the best …). That said, our purpose is to create Unexpected Moments of Happiness. We call em UMOHs and sometimes they involve pops and other times just figuring out ways to make people happy. I’ve learned that having a purpose makes it all worth it and is also good business.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Friends and family never get enough credit. In our early years hundreds of hours in the kitchen and on the cart made our business possible. Mom, Dad, Bruce, Joan, Harvey, Tina … the list goes on. People that just wanted to help Nick and I made this possible.
