Meet Stef Parker | Winemaker & Vintner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stef Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stef, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
If one is absolutely content, having filled their life with love, health, and the completion of goals, I consider that success. At the end of the day, are you happy? Are your needs met? Are you on the path you wish to be? Are you living the life you desire? If you answer yes to those questions, I believe that you are successful in life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the first woman of color winemaker in Georgia state history. I’m also the first and only black owned vegan winery in the state as well as the first to manufacture alcohol in Lamar County. My Winery is “The Winery at MoonLight Manor” and it is located in Lamar County Georgia on 7.5 acres. The wine label, “Wikkid Eden”, boasts of over 30 different TTB approved flavors of Muscadine and fruit wines, all produced here locally at the winery.
My wines are chemical and cruelty free, meaning no added sulfites or animal by products. Little known fact among wine customers is that most store bought wines contain fish organs and bones. Wikkid Eden wines do not. My wines do NOT contain Voodoo either, despite the claims of local government officials. Not joking.
My wines have won numerous awards:
Gold and Silver at the 2024 Southeast Winemaker Challenge, Gold and Two Bronze at the 2025 Georgia Wine Invitational and Bronze for Best Winery in Middle Georgia by the Telegraph.
You can book a tasting through our website. Reservations are $20 per person. You can also have a bottle directly delivered to your door with our partnership with UPS, to the following states: Florida, Washington DC, Minnesota, Alaska, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. I’m also an Art Director for Lamar Arts Depot and Gallery, where I curate exhibitions and locate new talent.
When I’m not curating shows, I’m writing children’s books. I have penned and published three children’s books: “Why Do Flies Come to Barbecues?”, “There Are Monsters in My Room”, and “If I Could Be”. All books can be purchased on Amazon, thegothgardener.com or found on the shelves at Milner Community Library, my favorite library.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you’re in Lamar County Georgia, check out Lamar Arts Depot and Gallery. All of the artwork is made by local artists and the gift shop has the most unique handmade items. Perfect for gifting to others…or yourself. I also recommend visiting my local library, Milner Community Library. The library has plenty of comfortable seating and a plethora of books to choose from. It’s the most wonderful place to get lost in an adventure. Perfect for family night or date night, Gordon State College Theater productions are hands down the best thing to do on a night on the town. Broadway quality performances for only $10 a ticket. If you haven’t been to a show, I highly encourage you to attend one.
