We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Negron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sofia, what inspires you?
My inspiration comes from my love for people. I have learned over the years that a small gesture can be the biggest blessing for someone else. Helping another person in my eyes does not come from a place where I expect anything from anyone. I do for the love of humanity. We are all in this together and we should always aspire to do things out of love.
What should our readers know about your business?
Well, I am a Bilingual Real Estate Agent for a company called Humphries & King Realty. Let me say Real Estate has not been a walk in the park. I am most proud of passing that Real Estate national exam. If anyone can tell you anything about becoming an agent is that test will make you break a sweat. Nonetheless I love a challenge so I stayed dedicated to my studies. I had a great friend of mine give me advice once. He told me to bury myself in Real Estate, read books, listen to podcasts, YouTube, etc. That’s exactly what I did & still do to maintain my business. One big lesson I learned along the way of my journey is mindset is key. Deals will fall through, leads sometimes do not call back. closing might be delayed, and more. The most important thing is to keep your a positive & strong mindset. You cannot let anything sink your ship even when things are not looking good.
What I would want the world to know about my brand is I am an Ambitious Latina Real Estate Agent . A real estate agent to me is more than just closing the deal & getting paid. I like to see myself as an advisor to your biggest investment. My job is to study my market, know my areas & numbers. I love to be able to serve my clients with the best & highest integrity. I also want to be able to be of service my fellow latinos further their education to build wealth with Real Estate. Many come from many countries with a dream to have better and If I a hand in helping them achieve that dream that’s a blessing I am happy to provide.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Man, Atlanta is a city where if you can literally do anything! My personal favorite thing to do is try new places to eat. Food is my go to enjoy time with my close friends. That is probably one of the most things my friends and I talk about, what places we would like to eat at. Also, enjoying a good cocktails in the city, enjoying music, good environment of people creates that vibe as most people like to say. One thing I can attest to with my best friends ever visiting town is the ability for us to be open minded to trying new things. I feel everyday is something new always to try & go to in Atlanta.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ohh wee! This is a hard one. My journey has started over so many times with the influence important people in my circle. I can definitely say I have to shoutout my old partner I had in Emory, Gloria. She is the one who opened my eyes to the opportunities in Real Estate and really getting out of my comfort zone to provide & be a leader for my family. Real Estate was NOTHING I ever heard of until she said I can see you being a Real Estate agent, you’ll kill it. She wasn’t lying I have learned to really fall in love with my career. It has been so life changing and she was the seed in that blessing for my family & I.
