We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Hood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone, how do you think about risk?
Risk should be my nickname! Risk is kinda like making a sacrifice. As a manager in this music career, I have to make sure that I am taken care of FIRST! I’m the only child & I stay with my mom and she always tell me not forget about my personal business. I don’t have kids. Any time I have to do anything with my artists Riko Ru or Cee Tha Gxdd it’s already at Risk, I’m constantly thinking about the next move with them all the time. It’s like I can’t turn it off and I’m perfectly fine with that because I love this! Long nights at shows, staying up, etc(To any artists out there you most definitely have to take a lot of risks when it comes to music).Whenever it’s a issue comes up in life it’s a risk to forget that we are still in motion. We will give each other spaces to show respect and love. We may lose a love one or just got out of a relationship or may feel like the urge of giving up but WE DON’T!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most proud of my artists & my producer for working hard as independent music artists. #LOVEISWAR2022 Cee Tha Gxdd’s album is on the way! What got me here today professionally is “PAIN” and not getting “NOT GETTING TOO COMFORTABLE” ! As a manager, I’ve learned you have to be self motivated. My artists Cee Tha Gxdd & Riko made me think another perspective on professionalism. As we climb the ladder moreI/we noticed that music is a JOB! Especially independently! Is it easy, of course it is. Like I said self motivation and overcoming fear is important. That’s my biggest challenge. I’m always learning different techniques and gaining more music knowledge. There is not a day where I’m not learning in this career. Visual Vibez Studios clientele growing by the day. Simone loves to make cover arts for artists. The company is bigger than that. So much in store for it. Visual Vibez Management, the next big thing for artists & other people who wants to learn about managing and being an a&r.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My artists are my best friends lol! We’re country. Wherever the good wings at we are going! Food is life! Riko Ru & I would go to a nice bar in Atlanta and all of us would go explore the city. Overall the studio is our favorite place to be. That’s our get away. Shoutout to Ghost from The BlackRoom Studio & Wisdom Bibbs from “InWizWeTrust “ studios!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Cee Tha Gxdd & Riko Ru and Gavin Chinn
