We had the good fortune of connecting with Shay Matthews and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shay, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is trusting God and never giving up no matter how hard it gets.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a small minority owned business based out of Huntsville Alabama that produces multiple flavor of juices that has a secret ingredient that keeps the consumer wanting more. I am most excited when I see people tag me on my social media platforms on how much they love my juices and the demand to put them at different locations. Putting God first, staying humble and staying consistent is what got me where I am today. Success is hard work and hard work is never easy. I over came these challenges by keeping God first in everything I do and the dedication into my business and trusting the process. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that i can’t trust in anyone more than myself to make my dreams a reality. I want the world to know that I am a hard working woman and I will try to find a solution for any problem or obstacle thrown my way and that humbled me which has given me a purpose and that purpose is to see if I can make the world smile whether it’s through my juices or lyrics in my songs as a female artist.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area I would take them by my moms first since they are like my family because there is no other place to eat better than my mothers house other than Shay don’t play kitchen which is another one of my thriving businesses that has catered events such as, birthday dinners, brunches, and club events. Even being flown into other cities and states to cater events, which also has a social media platform that has request for orders on demand.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and for most I want to give recognition to God because he blessed me with the type of mother who encourages me to use my talents I was born with. Secondly she introduced me to my uncle who is mentoring me along my path as well as the awesome team he has behind him that helps me. Last but not least my kids and significant other who gives me the motivation to get up each and every day to make the necessary sacrifices to better myself and my business.
