We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanquilla Stephens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanquilla, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is I keep going. If I fail, I go back to the drawing board and brainstorm. I don’t quit. I think of many ways to do things. I have started four types of businesses. Only 2 have been successful. I didn’t close any of them down I kept going and kept making it better until I seen and felt my desire results.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have 4 businesses. The fourth one will be launched August 24th. I have a custom shop , candle shop, and 1on1 business consulting.

One of the things i am excited about is being able to see the smile of my customers face. They always tell me I go above and beyond. I get excited when I do a new release and everything sells out quick. I get excited when i add extra goodies to the packages and my customers be surprised.

I started college as a Early Childhood Education Major. My sophomore year was when I realized I was born a people person. I was born to lead. I was born to deliver. I was born to help. I was born to create. That’s when I changed my Major to Business Administration. I have been happy every since. Teaching will always be my passion but i want to teach business. My junior year I started to brainstorm about what I wanted to do as far as selling products overall becoming a entrepreneur. It have been a lot of challenges but I never stop. I think I overcame them by asking for help. A lot of people don’t ask for help because of pride. It’s okay to ask for help. You are not going to know everything and it’s good to fail cause when you fail you learn. The Glamorous Collection is all about helping, providing, and creating.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is a FUN city ! It’s lots of things to do here ! We also have great restaurants!
