We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shannon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have worked for people since I was 19 years old. I just want to be my own boss and do things by my own terms! I want to answer to myself and God only!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently make lipgloss, bangles, and bracelets. I also sell lashes, bags, and purses. I plan on adding more accessories as I go. I am pretty humble and I don’t compete with others! I COMPETE WITH MYSELF. I challenge me to become a better business owner and learn more about being just that! It may take longer than others but I am patient and cool about it. Being a business owner has its ups and downs but life itself has the same thing so it is like you live and you learn! I am not perfect and definitely not trying to be but I am working on better content and learning how to market and be more creative.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would have to say Atlanta, Ga has a lot of nice/fun places. It is so much to do there and so many options! From food, shopping, bars, museums, etc. We would have something to do everyday of the week! No joke!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God is the first! Everyone that supports me! The love that is shown from many people! Purchases, shares, likes, etc. from family, friends, and strangers!
