We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ronell, what inspires you?
I can gain inspiration from anything. I love the way Music makes me feel. Sonically, every genre resonates. I love how visually a movie/music video captivates me. I studied a-lot of that in my younger days.

I’ve always adored the fashion world. It gives me the room to play dress up with anything and everything I feel to wear that day.

The Earth as a whole brings so much to learn & dive deep into. I love the diversity of people, cultures and previous decades. I draw a lot from the 90s and Early 2000’s because of how hot & fresh those times were. I want to contribute inspiration for this next generation wholeheartedly. I want that same excellence to ooze from my work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Life wasn’t always a easy ride growing up in Midwest Indianapolis, Indiana. For 18 years, I worked my butt off to consume a more creative and inspiring environment. My chance was in 2018, to attend college at American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York City. Where I graduated in 2021. And still currently live. At Age 6, I was the youngest Break Dancer in a dance competition. Dance has always been a outlet to express myself when I refused to speak. It soon became years of practicing different styles from African, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Majorette & Musical Theatre.

Singing has always been dear to my heart. Being a High School Choir Boy, I enjoyed going to field trips performing at churches, fundraisers and events. I love the feeling that singing brings. My voice suits best 1st Tenor/Alto range. Anytime, I would have my solo moments in performances that was my chance to rock that house.

My senior year Talent Show, I put together a 15 minute 2-part performance titled “1814”. The first part was all singing, the second part was pure dance. I mapped the whole thing out. Auditioning dancers, teaching song arrangements, making the outfits, mixing the mashup & video backdrop.
Acting, Drawing, Designing/Modeling, Writing Songs/Poetry also go hand & hand with showcasing my story and love for art.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Places I feel are most exciting are like Record Stores, Barnes & Noble, Thrift Shops, Museums. I also really love Graffiti sites. I love taking walks & riding bikes. Most of my friends are music heads, dancers and creative people. So we would have a ball anywhere honestly. I’m also a movie head. I would love a day to just binge watch movies. I am also a country guy, I love to eat and try new foods. I love to pick any creative destination and get in a car or a train and just ride!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I embrace every individual that has been apart of my personal/professional journey/story. It would be really difficult to pinpoint a specific individual without leaving out the others. So I send love to everyone who has ever believed in my talent & brand over the years of my many forms of entertainment.
