We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebekah Uhl and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebekah, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The most valuable principle to me is grit. This kind of determination is interesting especially in contrast with an ever-overwhelming “hustle culture”.

I used to think that grit meant pushing through every obstacle. I thought it meant being an actual superwoman – pushing boundaries and making the most of every moment at absolutely any cost needed.

Here’s what PsychologyToday says. And I totally agree:
Grit is “both passion and perseverance in service of a long-term goal. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, as they say. [People with grit] put in sustained effort over time to achieve a high level of success in their chosen domain.”

To me, hard work is a tricky thing. I’ve had to analyze and re-analyze over time, asking myself, “what am I even doing this for?” If I’m working myself to death, is it REALLY because I’m reaching toward an amazing end goal? Or am I filling some void. Is it creativity and passion? Or is it fear of rest, chasing recognition, or fear of failure…

So I now take a different approach.

Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes business sucks! (Just saying.)

The value that has both carried me through and pushed me forward in my business: grit. The courage to pause, listen, and respond. To trust God. To press through adversity, external pressures, and internal battles with wisdom, patience, and persistence.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My favorite moment is when it all clicks. Taking my clients from overwhelmed and exhausted to encouraged and excited for the future of their business! When someone feels seen, heard, supported, AND prepared?! Unstoppable.

My clients and I have got something special going. It’s the hearts of the people running such awesome businesses that keep me going. We care about quality. We care about stress-free solutions. We care about each other!

I’ve gotten where I am today one step at a time! As I step forward, I learn more and more. Of course, it’s been tough! Just not nearly as hard as I thought. Honestly, the hardest part is BOUNDARIES! The knowledge, the experience… that takes time. It’s just that learning boundaries is such a personal thing- it really makes you dig deep. I’m still learning! Aren’t we all.

About my brand and my story: I’m here for the men and women looking to grow and flourish! We’re a laidback bunch and spend time on the things that work. We believe that there is no replacement for a genuine community and nothing we can’t accomplish when we work together. We care. We take pride in the work we do, yet know that we as people are much more than the work of our hands. We have fun and we banish stress as much as possible!! And we’d love for you to join us 🙂

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Any coffee shop within walking distance! If she’s in town, it’ll be a good time regardless 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been so blessed to have mentors along the way. It truly takes a village! But I have to say, I’d be nowhere without my mom, dad, and grandparents. The friends and family around me have cheered me on beyond measure. They’ve encouraged me to dream bigger, to make my life into one worth living. It truly is a blessing to have them in my life.
