We had the good fortune of connecting with PrinceCharles Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi PrinceCharles, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
By the end of my career. I want to be a world champion in the highest form of Motorsports. But I also want to own my own racing team and to help underfunded minorities get their foot into the Motorsports world. Rather it is on the engineering side, administrative side, or driver side

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I got where I am today because my mom believed in me and saw my potential that I had when nobody else did. She always gave me that extra push to continue. None of this was easy at all, arguably it’s one of it not the hardest sport to get into. We overcame challenges by never settling and always striving for better. Every time we got 10 no’s we always looked for that one yes. The lessons I learned along the way is nothing is ever as it seems, don’t ever settle, and be yourself. I want the world to know that no matter the obstacles or hardships that I’m always going to strive to reach my goal and achieve my dreams. I want the world to know my story so I can influence other kids that share the same dream as me but don’t have any direction to go and to let them know, just don’t give up and believe in yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I definitely would cool for them the whole time because I love to cook. To visit I would definitely take them to Jekyll island or the mountains because there are these roads that I want to take. One is called tail of the dragon and it’s a road in North Carolina. We definitely are going to Atlanta Motorsports Park – a karting track where I use to race. Since I’m a history buff I would go to Savannah, there are a lot of stories there that a lot of people that aren’t from Georgia may not know about. The Rock city Gardens are a must, it is arguably one of the most breath taking places I have ever been to. And of course we have to go to a Braves game. That is mandatory, we in Atlanta baby. Also one of the last places I would take them is the College Football Hall of Fame, since I’m a big Georgia fan and we have a hall of fame here in our city about football we have to go, and it’s also very interactive it’s not just looking at football jerseys and helmets the whole time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother, she doesn’t deserve a little credit. She deserves all of the credit. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am today.
