We had the good fortune of connecting with Plushette Ellis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Plushette, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My journey in the Arts started with my love of fashion and Pop Culture. I love expressing my mood and elevating my mood through fashion which makes me feel like Art everywhere I go.

Let’s talk SoulReal Talk? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
SoulReal Talk LLC started in the mist of the pandemic in April 2020 during Taurus season, I took that time to be creative through my podcast SoulReal with discussing my journey personally and spiritually. My goal with SoulReal Talk was to create a Art and Entertainment Platform that was completely my vision and that I could find like-minded creatives and freethinkers. In the summer of 2021 I used my 9 plus years corporate experience in business and management to use with adding artists management and curator to my vision, I went in head first with visiting galleries and art studios to completely get a full experience of what the Atlanta art scene is, along the way I had to learn more about Art history, different mediums, color theory, style of art. It was overwhelming at first to completely catch up on art history, but it was important to me to have that knowledge in order to completely know who the artists are inspired by and being able to see what what stories are being told by art. I want the world to know that I’m the nucleus of where the Atlanta Art scene within the next couple of years, I look forward to blowing everyone’s mind, the creative experiences I will create and the artists that I find will definitely have Atlanta being a Art destination just like NYC, Miami, and LA.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First. I would love to highlight my parents who always believed in me and my goals, now that they are no longer with my physically I honor them by fulfilling my dreams and theirs. I love you Camille and Jameel you are forever motivating me as my ancestors.

Secondly, I would love to thank as a whole the Atlanta Art/Creative community, The countless beautiful people creatives have embraced me and helped me along on my new career.
