We had the good fortune of connecting with Morghan Turner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morghan, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent, the most important thing I have done for Morghan is believed in her dream. Though the idea of selling lemonade was totally hers, she has learned to pursue her dreams. She is learning through every event that it takes work to see your dreams come to reality. She never doubted herself. From day one of sharing her dream with me, she believed it would happen. She enjoys interacting with her customers which I believe is building her self-esteem. She already has new ideas written down. I have no doubt that she will go far and become a self-sufficient individual with no means of stopping.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I come from a family of entrepreneurs so having my own business was in my genes! One day after I spent my allowance, I told my grandmother I wanted to sell something. She told me that she would give me more money but I wanted to make my own money. A couple of days later, I told her I wanted to sell lemonade. That’s when Lil Miss Lemons was born. We are now celebrating three years of success! We have expanded the business into t-shirts, kids crafts, hats, treat bags, etc. We also offer kids birthday parties. This way encourages other young kids to pursue their dreams. I’m working to see my brand in grocery stores, restaurants, everywhere. I enjoy selling lemonade. And I enjoy watching the response of new customers first taste. I believe Lil Miss Lemons is the best lemonade in the world and I plan to share it with the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots is the Fern Museum. That would be our first stop. I also would stop by the Kings Center. I enjoyed learning about Dr. Martin Luther King. This was my first museum. After that, I would love to spend the day at Six Flags. I love to ride. My favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A. l love their nuggets and ice cream. I would definitely make my special lemonade. It’s the best drink in the world. Other places I love to visit: the Georgia Aquarium, Coke Museum, Disney On Ice, and AMC movie theater. There is so much to do and see in Georgia!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are three important women who helped my dream become a reality. The first being my mom. When I shared my dream of selling lemonade, she went to work on ideas. She controls all the social media. The second, my grandmother, whom I call “Punkin” went to work on the recipe, company logo, company products, etc. And the third, my great grandmother, whom I call “GG” added her special ideas and much prayer. I was born into a strong family support system. My entire family has been with me every step of the way and I am totally blessed.
