We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikayla Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikayla, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success can be summed up in one word:Faith. I haven’t always had faith in myself or in the fact that I could be successful. I’ve recently been spending more time working on self improvement and self esteem and it has made a world of difference in how i go about my business and my business relationships.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My business started in a time when my life was changing drastically. I had just quit my job because I found out I was pregnant with my son. In that season, I found patience (which I’m still working on) and growth. Through this journey, I’ve learned that I need to work just as hard in the low season as I do in the high season meaning just because business slows down that doesn’t mean I give up. I want my son to know that even in darkness there is light.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the Coca Cola Factory, the Mall of Georgia, Milk and Honey, and First Watch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this to my husband DeRonte, sisters, Juanita and Celina, my parents, and my in laws. Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me.
