Meet Martinique Harden | Licensed Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Martinique Harden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Martinique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was really about the future. I wanted to be my own boss so I knew I had to choose a business field I could dive into and thrive. I have always been influenced by the beauty industry and have also had my hand in it some how since I was a little girl. So it only made since to step have a CEO role in a field I love and to have something I can call my own.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So for starters I started off as just a lash tech about 7 years ago when i first moved to Atlanta. I never thought of my work as a side hustle i always knew it was a start to a much bigger project. I then went to school to be a licensed esthetician and have furthered my skills which helped me in more ways than one because i was able to add services to my business as well as educate others. I am not a licensed esthetician while taking up nursing I plan to branch off into the medical side of esthetics and maybe even cosmetics. I currently offer lash , brow and PMU services. Along my journey I have had bumps in the road of course building a business from the ground up definitely takes time, patients, prayers and trial and error. Although my journey hasn’t been 100% easy it is worth it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok if my Bestie was visiting where definitely gonna mix it up for sure. Well have rooftop brunch or a little day party vibe. As for night life I’m not really a club girly but we can definitely do a lounge with a nice little karaoke. I love a good sip and paint or even an arcade or some sort. Atlanta has a lot of different things to do so its hard to name them all directly lol but a time will definitely be had.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I will forever give shout outs to my clients, I have clients that have been coming to me for 6 years plus and o can do nothing but thank them. I have had some other close supports that helped me plan, set up and even guide me in my business that will always have my upmost appreciation.
