We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
The option to give up is rarely an option for me. I believe that just because something may not come easy does not mean one should give up. The bases of my faith allow me the great opportunity to know that once I have done everything that I can humanly do , then God will step in and do the rest. Now, one must know the difference between what is for them and what is not. I believe that when I am about to start something or do something new I must first seek God to see if this is for me. Once I find out the answer I am able to follow thru with the answer that I am given. I believe one must know timing as well. The thing that you may give up on , may not be ready to fulfill itself at that particular time. Delay does not necessary mean denial. Delay can represent just not right now. For we know to everything there is a season.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
: I am the CO-FOUNDER AND CO-CEO OF REACH BACK AND LIFT HIGH COACHING SOMETIMES…….. LIFE HAPPENS AND YOU FIND YOURSELF ON…… A PATHWAY TO A ROAD CALLED CROSSROAD NOT KNOWING DO I GO LEFT OR DO I GO RIGHT…. I UNDERSTAND THIS PATHWAY BECAUSE IN 2009 I FOUND MYSELF AT A CROSSROAD BEING DIVORDED WITH 4 CHILDREN. FINDING THE RIGHT FIT FOR MY NEW CIRCUMSTANCES IN MY LIFE FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN. SO NOW I OFFER GREAT SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WHO MAY FIND THEMSELVES STUCK AT THEIR CROSSROAD SO TODAY WE WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU A FEW OF SUPER STRATEGIES TO FIND OUT WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT? WHY DO YOU REALLY WANT IT? WHEN DO YOU WANT TO HAVE IT/ WHAT DOES YOUR IT LOOK LIKE TO YOU? BECAUSE REACH BACK AND LIFT HIGH IS HERE TO SERVE YOU. I was a hairdresser for 30 years. I loved it! And [during the course of that] I had two little girls whose hair I did regularly, and I noticed that they hated their hair. They would slouch in the seat, and they looked so sad. Most women are happy and excited when they get their hair done, but not these little girls. I could see that their feelings affected their self esteem and their attitude. When I asked them what was wrong, they [finally] confided in me: they wanted hair like their friends – straight or loosely curled, not the tight. We always hear Beauty starts from within , well it does . But they foundation of this process comes from what we are told when we are little. Self esteem and confidence comes from this process. Knowing that one must operate in their own value. Let me remind you when negativity is spoken over you, it is up to you to receive ,deposit and let it manifest. Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Little girls with high self-esteem are likely to excel in life. I wrote a book “Me and My Hair” which encourages young girls to love themselves just the way they are , and to love their natural hair- every curl, coil , twist, and straight strands. When girls feel good about themselves, they are more likely to form positive relationships, be good citizens, and embrace scholastics achievement. “Me and My Hair”is beautifully illustrated to encourage “positive productivity” in little girls for generations to come. I am the CEO of The Generation Z Hairpowerment. Now through the Generation Z Hairpowerment which empowers our young girls to love every inch of themselves – from the tips of their toes to the roots of their hair – every curly, straight, coily, braided, and everything in between and under creation! The Generation Z Hair Empowerment was birthed through my published book “ Me and My Hair”. An inspirational and motivational speaker, Lisa loves talking to Generation Z (girls ages 7 to 18) on how to embrace their individuality and grow to be self-assured young ladies. Giving them the ability to Always know ,that you, no matter what your hair is like your beautification starts from the inside and floods outwardly to the outside. All this on the outside can be superficial ,but how you really feel about yourself is found on the inside of you. The part you struggle with when you are alone . The part of you that you struggle with when you are around people that make you feel uncomfortable to remember:

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to see Martin Luther King Center so that they could see history. The Georgia Aquarium would be another place we would visit.. The Sip and Stroke Painting Venue to relax. The Painted Pin is a must. The Marietta Seafood Market is a restaurant that we would go to at lease twice. Of course we would go to my church at Bethlehem City of Faith Church in Atlanta, Georgia , Pastor Jameson Eichelberger.
