We had the good fortune of connecting with Levi A. Ohanenye, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Levi A., do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
This is a great question. Giving up is never an option for me. If it was worth me pursuing to start, it is worth me seeing through and working diligently at completing. This has been my mindset for as long as I can remember. Of course, I am human, and sometimes I have thoughts of giving up. Whenever I have those thoughts, I look for confirmations about things that I want to occur, and things that I want to accomplish. There is a Porsche that I want, and it seems like every time I begin to have thoughts that I can’t afford the car, I see the car on the road. I see signs like this all the time, and I look at these signs as confirmation that I am moving in the right direction, and that I am doing the right thing(s) to get there.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have two businesses that operate concurrently. One of them is real estate. I am a licensed Georgia Realtor, and I primarily serve the metro Atlanta area. There are a lot of Real estate agents in the Metro Atlanta area, but there is only one Levi. I am the agent that is going to stand by your side from the start of the transaction until the end of it. I am also the agent that is going to break down every part of the transaction to you, to ensure that you are fully aware of what you are taking on. Purchasing real estate is a huge deal, and for some people, it is the largest purchase of their lives. I do not treat my clients like paychecks, I treat them like family. I also like to help my clients find great deals to make the process of becoming a homeowner even more seamless. Recently, I have started helping clients through a program that allows you to purchase a home with paid closing costs, 100% financing and just $500 down. This has allowed for so many people who have good credit and income to become homeowners. The impact of this program alone is enough to help me sleep well at night, knowing that I am changing the lives of so many people. When I am dealing with a client, I always ask myself – “How would I like to be treated in this situation?”. Getting to where I am real estate wise was not easy. I work full time, so it required a lot of sacrifice on weekends, after work, and on breaks at work to build up a quality pipeline and prospect base. I learned a lot of lessons along the way. and many of those can be traced back to helping individuals who do not want to be helped. I always think of the J, Cole Lyric “Don’t save her, she don’t wanna be saved”.

My other business is called Grandeur Motorsports LLC, which I operate with my mom Genny and younger brother Isaiah. The business was born out of a dream that my mom had over 20 years ago. As a car salesman for Carmax, her dream was to open a car dealership, and in 2021, we made that dream come true. We operate this business in Lithonia, GA, and our main goal and purpose is providing affordable vehicles to the community that are safe and reliable. I always tell my customers “I would not sell you anything that I am not comfortable driving myself”. Many other dealers cut corners when it comes to ensuring that cars are road ready and maintained properly. I do not sell ANYTHING that cannot pass a Georgia inspection. If it fails inspection, it goes straight to my ASE certified technician, and I allow him to repair whatever is wrong. I also have him to perform his own independent inspection before I market it for sale. We have sold over 60 cars in a short two year time period, and this success can be attributed to our honesty, committment to customer satisfaction, and overall drive for success. The road to success has not been easy AT ALL, and has come with many bumps and lemons (literally), but I would not trade it for anything. The lessons that I learned through this business are similar to the lessons that I learned in real estate- everyone cannot be helped, and not everyone deserves your grace and energy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is becoming a city that hosts A LOT of festivals. Last year, I fell in love with the festival scene. Whether it is a music festival, a food festival or a drink festival, I am there. I also love going to concerts. We have so many great arenas that are outdoor and indoor, and that can host such a wide variety of artists. My favorite spots in the city are Fins and Feathers, The Cheesecake Factory, and any Mexican restaurant that has good Texas margaritas. The most interesting place in the city in my opinion to “people-watch” are the malls and shopping centers. Phipps Plaza and Lenox Mall is a place where you never know who you will see or run into. Since I am a car guy, the Porsche Experience is also a place that would be on my list, first, we’d do a ride along experience in a Porsche at 100+ MPH, and then we’d have food and drinks inside of the Porsche Museum. I have spent my entire life in Atlanta, so the tourist attractions like The World of Coke, The GA Aquarium, The Zoo, and Fernbank are great, but they are never my top picks. I like to visit the “bougie” neighborhoods and shop at the thrift stores. I have found authentic Louis Vuitton, and vintage Nautica, Polo, etc while thrifting in Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person that I want to give a shoutout to is my mom, as she always supports my dreams and decisions, and encourages me in times of trial. She has also always led by example and ensured that I was equipped with the tools that I need for success. She is an excellent mentor across many areas of my life and I am extremely grateful to have her love and support on a daily basis. I would also like to give credit to all of my mentors across different walks of life, my teachers who believed in me and pushed me to do better and any of my friends and family who have stood by my side and supported me.
