Meet Kristina Greene | CEO, Founder and Fashion Buyer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristina Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristina, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
It is a rare and treasured opportunity to start my mission of creating more spaces and opportunities for black women and minorities by employing my 3 oldest children. Establishing a family business makes me excited to see how my company will grow and what we are able to accomplish together. As we continue to build and expand my company into other avenues of business, we as a family, are creating a legacy that will last and be able to be passed down to generations to come. Developing this family-first ideology is one of the most important things I have been able to impress upon my children.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m excited for growth in all aspects within my team and my business ventures. Taking The Fashion Hunter to the next level and really building a corporation has been a goal since the beginning.
I was at home, much like everyone else in 2020, settling into the reality of Covid and loss of employment when I created my business out of the necessity to continue to support my family. I started selling accessories out of my basement which quickly evolved from room to room and surpassed my expectations by filling an entire warehouse with jewelry and clothing in only a matter of 3 years. I am very proud of maintaining the reputation of a fashion brand that pushes customer service and customer loyalty to the top of its priorities. Building a strong foundation has helped us get to a point where scaling operations and bringing more processes in-house is a near future endeavor. You know, getting into the Expansion BAG!
I have been working for myself since my early 20’s and within each stage of my entrepreneurial journey I was able to learn the lessons along the way that contribute to my overall understanding of building a business and working within my community. During the interim years between me working for myself and the forefront of my business now, I have been able to develop a true desire to serve others, compassion for women and their perception of themselves through style, a keen understanding of corporate logistics and how to structure a business to succeed.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Spondivits in East Point, GA. Amazing seafood!!! Don’t forget to ask them to steam your food LIGHTLY!
I would suggest to anyone coming to the city to follow my girl, Dona Matthews on IG to keep up all the hottest events in Atlanta. She definitely someone to know in the city!!
Tulum has an amazing vibe, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is top tier.
Last but definitely not least… Magic City… but for the chicken wings!! Although it may not be known for the exciting nightlife; it’s definitely a culinary experience and offers a vibrant night out and highlight for the city.
Toast- upscale and attractive location.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and Foremost, I need to pay homage to my Grandfather: The most Hustliest HUSTLER I know. Because of him instilling in me a hard work ethic and the motivation to see a vision through, I was able to build all that I have today: A BLACK MAN from Peach Valley Grove, Tennessee gave me the gift of dedication and perserverance and for that, I will always move in Faith and trust in my ability to thrive regardless of any situation.
