We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiirsten Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiirsten, how do you think about risk?
“Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing.” – Denis Waitley

As a young child, I never understood the importance of taking a risk simply because I wasn’t afraid of going after what I wanted. No matter what challenges I’d face, I’d go after my hearts desires. As I matured, I began to comprehend that risks are synonymous with opportunities. This realization helped me develop the mindset that without opportunity it is impossible fulfill your God given purpose. Growing out of the adolescent stage, life began to produce more challenges which makes taking the risk an even greater achievement. Society will force you into a role they feel best suits you. It’s your choice to either sit at someone else’s table or set your own. Taking risks has served as a catalyst for my success and as long as I continue to stand in my power, risks will lead me on a unique path to success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an individual who is considered to be multifaceted, there isn’t one specific occupation that defines me. Overall, I have set multiple goals for myself which include pursuing pageantry full time, advancing my career in real estate and continuing to build generational wealth through my businesses. I currently am the reigning United States of America’s Miss Georgia. In addition, to that I’ve founded a nonprofit organization called People with Power Inc & a health/beauty company called Kiiscentials. My greatest achievement is becoming the entrepreneur and leader that I set out to be, this road was difficult and will continue to present its challenges however it is extremely fulfilling. Every obstacle is a learning experience and comes with the territory that I’ve been given. One thing that I want the world to know is that the risk that you are contemplating is the thing that will catapult you into life you for which you are yearning. My personal brand demonstrates this ideology on a daily basis.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many hidden gems in Atlanta but I thoroughly enjoy the popular attractions and also the newer or smaller adventures. If weather permits, the first place I’d take them would be Sweetwater Creek State Park. With multiple nature trails, there are many astonishing views to admire. Additionally, Piedmont Park, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Atlanta Beltline are great outdoor experiences. Another attraction in the city that I love is the Skyview Ferris wheel especially at night! Because I also have a competitive side a few other activities we’d partake in include Puttshack or Top Golf, Fowling, Ponce’s Skyline Park and of course Go Karting at Andretti’s. On another note, there are so many popular restaurants in the Metro Atlanta Area such as Scoville Hot Chicken, Nakatuo Japanese restaurant, Southern Gentleman, Toast on Lenox, Cuts Steakhouse, Rosie’s Cafe and Pasha’s Restaurant and Bar. Lastly, the one activity that would complete the trip is shopping. With so many amazing specialty/popup shops, chain stores and malls in close proximity, we’d take the entire day to enjoy my guilty pleasure.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
1 Thessalonians 5:18: With overwhelming gratitude to my village, thank you. I have several individuals that have impacted my journey to success; from my family, to my teachers & coaches, to my circle of amazing friends and so many others. I wish I could individually name all of them because they are the people that have molded me into the strong young woman that I am today. But most of all I want to thank God for being faithful, loving and greater than any challenge I’ve ever faced. With him, nothing is impossible.
