We had the good fortune of connecting with Kara Langill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kara, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I moved around a lot as a kid, but I have lived in Georgia for most of my life. I always had an active lifestyle since I grew up playing different kinds of sports. I played competitively through my freshman year of college. It was after I stopped playing and with gaining the freshman 15 that I truly realized the impact health and fitness played in my life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
After gaining the Freshman 15 and trying all the workout and nutrition programs out there, I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. This is when I came across Beachbody. You get to work with a coach, like me, on getting the results you are looking for. I will help you get started with a workout program, find a meal plan that is right for you, and be there every step of the way with you. You will get weekly meal plans, daily/weekly check ins, an accountability group in an app where you can track your workouts and nutrition, a monthly workout & podcast calendar, and setting you up with any nutritional supplements that might help you as well. We have workout playlists, recipe blog, and you gain the tools and resources you need to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love having a good time with friends and family in the area such as going to sporting events whether it is football, baseball, basketball – I love it all!

My new favorite place is the Putt Shack in downtown Atlanta. It is an indoor mini golf place with food and games. My family lives for mini golf even though we aren’t the best at it. If you’ve never been to Atlanta, then the Coke Museum is always fun and it’s right next to the Aquarium.

Amicalola Falls and Tallulah Gorge are my favorite places to hike. I also enjoy shopping and going to the movies. Atlantic Station and Avalon are my go to places for both of those.

Believe it or not I enjoy fast food more than a sit down restaurant. I would have to say Chick fil a is my favorite place to eat. That is usually my choice for my birthday dinner too : )

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest support comes from my family as they want to see me succeed and my friends are always there for encouragement. When I started my health and fitness online, my mom was the first one to sign up! I feel like everyone’s mom is their biggest cheerleader. My followers on Instagram are very supportive as well. They especially loved seeing my dog Sparky in my workout videos which encouraged me to share more of my workouts.
