Meet K.D.H. {Keith Diamante Hence} | Music Artist/Filmmaker/Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with K.D.H. {Keith Diamante Hence} and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi K.D.H. {Keith Diamante Hence}, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
It wasn’t really much of a “choice”. Being a Creative was something I felt like I was destined to do. I’ve always been passionate about the arts/being in a creative space. I feel most Alive when in that zone. Writing was my first love. I loved writing short stories as a child. I originally wanted to be an Author. The story writing was first, which transformed into Poetry. The poetry somehow expanded into Music and Screenwriting forms. Experimentation grew to Implementation. So I began working on all of those things, putting together private projects, and before I graduated high school…I knew exactly what I was going to do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I do music (rapping, songwriting, some producing). I do film (screenwriting, directing, producing, acting). I also do poetry/spoken word. All of my work is independent.
I got here today (so far) through my •Work Ethic •Talent •Heart. Those are three things I truly value and rely on to take me far. My work ethic is relentless. I work on my crafts every single day someway somehow. Chasing greatness…in these professions…I feel like I have no time to sit still. Talent/Skill is something that I also pride myself on. A lot of it comes from consistent work, repitition, practice, years of work. That work gives me the ultimate confidence in my abilities. As far as my Heart — I geniunely love my art. I love being creative. I’m passionate about what I do, truly. I know that I do this for the right reasons. I have geniune intentions.
I feel the combination of these traits sets me apart from my peers. I’ve met, come across, even worked with people whole lacked work ethic, didn’t maximize their potential, and are not in it for the right reasons. There’s a difference. And it’s one of the main reasons I’ve been mostly by myself on this journey.
The Road has been far from easy. As much as I hate to admit, I Almost (Almost) gave up a couple of times. So many days I was discouraged. So many nights of frustration and deep thought. Staring at the gap of where I am (where I was) And where I’m supposed to be (where I will be)…..was something that got to me. And not having the right people and energy around contributed to that. The vision I had years ago of how this is “supposed to look” , is not the visions I have now. I’m older. I’m wiser. I’m sharper. I’m tougher. I’m better…all around. I realized that things may not happen exactly how you thought it would , but , it will happen how it’s meant to. I have the utmost faith in this process.
What I want the world to know about my story is…..though I’ve done so much so far….This is still just the beginning. All the pain, scars, blood, sweat, tears, inner and outter damage, Everything – Will be told. Trough my art. In the music, in the films, in all my projects, I am being 100% real. Every project has a literal piece of me. It’ll show you why I am how I am. Why I do what I do. I really hope it inspires people. That is an ultimate goal.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m originally from Philly. But I have been in Georgia for 3 years now…so I guess that’s kinda sorta maybe enough time to know some spots but honestly I be in the cut. I’m lowkey. Ultimate introvert. Ultimate homebody.
But if I had to say Something…..
Uhhh…..
Maybe an open mic or some kind of artist showcase. Or indy film screening or event. My studio…get some work done. Listen to some exclusives.
As far as eating, drinking, hanging out, etc. – that could be anywhere. One thing about being down here in GA…there’s definitely a lot of options. In the city of ATL of course, but the surrounding areas just as cool to me.
So that’s my nice, cool, “boring” answer to that. Good luck to the guests though.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my 8 year-old daughter – Lyric.
She’s a driving force behind what I do…and the fact that she is an artist in her own right, on her own terms, is perfect. She’s motivation for me to keep striving the highest , while showing her every day that chasing your dreams can be a lot of work, but very fulfilling. I can’t wait for her to see more major things come to fruition in my career…..And to watch her shine in her own career, which has already started.
