Meet Jhanae Coleman | Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jhanae Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jhanae, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my brand is quality results & changing how people feel about paying for services and not receiving the customer service you deserve or the services you requested . It’s so hard in times today to find that one person you can go to for your beauty needs . Hair is my passion , definitely one of those “blessings” that came up with me in childhood . I love servicing my customers , from the consultations to the style seat . I think hair is the “prayer closet” for me , I got there when I’m feeling down or depressed . It brings me alot of joy.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like my business sets me apart from others because I care about each and every customer . I love to hear stories my clients tell which grows our bond and makes each person feel comfortable . I’m also a one woman business seeing as though I do service clients with hair loss and love to respect everyone’s privacy . A big lesson I learned along the way is keep family & business separate because it can truly break bonds . I came into my business a two woman business which shortly after two years turned into a one woman business , overtime people lose drive , interest and other factors so it’s best to start up slow and just let things progress with just you , to see how you want your business to operate or flourish
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie was in town and wanted to go out , I would drive to Atlanta , Ga area . I love this restaurant downtown called No 246• , very authentic Italian food . The noodles are handmade and it’s just an experience . The dress code is business casual . I also would love to catch a good Hawks game at the Mercedes Benz Stadium . Jeju is also a really nice spa in Atlanta that I love going to , the experience is definitely a different one but a must try.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my mother . She has been with me on this journey since the beginning . From me being young , doing hair out her house to me having my own salon and being able to do her hair and becoming her hairstylist is a blessing .
