Meet Jason Johnson | Clothing Brand Owner & Social Media Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since I was 12 I knew I was different, I just never say myself working for somebody else other then myself, Also my mom made it clear from a young age that me and my siblings will work for ourselves and never work for someone else.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Apart from my clothing brand Im also a YouTuber and,Model. Someone that sets me apart from others is that instead of doing long videos I tend to create short vlogs with my friends which shows my day to day life and what I do in the day, Im most proud of gaining 2000 subscribers last month I never thought that I would get that far with YouTube I always thought that after about 100 subscribers I would be done. It took alot of hard work to reach this goal but one major thing that helped me reach this goal was my friends, we would walk around during lunch at school and have everyone in the lunch room to subscribe to the channel. Something that I would want the world to know is go keep going and don’t stop even if things seem slow just keep going, Consistency is definitely key! There had been many times that I wanted to just give up YouTube and give up on my clothing brand but I didn’t I stayed consistent and thats what got me to where I am today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sugar factory is always fun and they have great food, Six flags is also fun definitely during October and December because of all the lights! But if you’re not into thrills you would probably enjoy Mercedes-Benz Stadium or even the botanical garden!! Or if you’re a content creator like I am then you probably would enjoy Atlantic Station because there is alot of things to film and lot of people to meet there!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to everyone who attended my school who has been supporting me over the years and helping me grow my brand but I definitely would like to give a special shoutout to my friends Trey,Nakaiah,quez,que,Brian, and Daperrius. They have been there since day one and helped my brand get popular around my school!!
