We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Felder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote was given to me by my mom. The quote is “Delayed is not Denied”. So many times we feel as if “not right now” means no or we are not worthy. As I speak personally for myself, I would feel inadequate almost when I would hear the answers of “no”. Or I would be discouraged by failures. However! the delayed career, delayed relationship, or delayed success in business does not mean it will never happen. The strides and successes I am seeing in my first year of business I never would have imagined just one year ago. Faith and hard work go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other. You cannot rely on faith without putting in the work and you cannot put in the work without knowing faith will place you in a room you never thought you were qualified for. So yes everyday I tell myself “Delayed is not Denied” my current setting does not govern where I am already predestined to go.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I, Jasmine Felder am the CEO and Founder of Motivated Minds Publishing. I started this business one year ago while I was in the process of writing my very first book “Finding Your Vision in the Darkness” which you can find on Amazon or my website www.motivatedmindspublishing.com. The name came to me because in the true passion of writing your mind has to be motivated. There are days when you have writer’s block. There are days when everyone else and everything else needs your attention. However, your readers need you too. How can you attract your readers and pull them in so close that they can visualize the scene and or imagine you reading to them in their living room? The journey has not been easy at all. Within months of starting my business my grandmother who I was very close to passed away, relationships and friendships changed, I questioned my purpose and what I should do. I lost hope for a while. However, God is amazing because he used strangers to show me the way. People from near and far would speak life into me. My mom was there cheering me on. My daughter looked into my eyes every morning trusting and believing in me. There was no way I could give up. I have learned to not worry about who will support your dream. Just go for it. Speak life into yourself and your business and know that it will be successful. I want the world to know that Motivated Minds Publishing is more than a publishing company. My company is a legacy that will live forever! Be on the lookout for Motivated Minds Publishing sister company

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly with the pandemic I have become a homebody. However, I love a good spa, mani, pedicure, any place or outing that would warrant me peace.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout belongs to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who saved me from all hurt, harm, danger, and even MYSELF. He planted every idea and vision in my mind and gave me the strength and courage to execute it. Secondly I would love to thank my amazing mommy Glenda (Donna) McGriff. The true epitome of a black amazing woman and mother. God fearing! Selfless! Encouraging! She is. She has supported me and literally has taken me in so that I could be a better me.
Last but definitely not least A’Lani Londyn West. Mommy loves you! You saved me! You gave me the courage just in one short year that I have wanted to have for over five years. Your intelligence, sassiness, and amazing personality gives me the drive I need to push forward everyday. Thank you for choosing me.
