We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Freya Knott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie Freya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Developing the freedom to travel and experience the fullness of Earth is what motivated me to start my own business. Being able to share resources with others on how to liberate yourself within this matrix we call society is of utmost importance to me. The realm in which we live is full of infinite possibilities for all people and it’s important I contribute to this collective awakening. I consider starting an information driven business as my contribution to the Earth and the tribe of humanity.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of the resilience that has allowed me to survive and continue through many setbacks. I believe that I am not unique but a living representation of the adaptability that lives in all of us. My YouTube channel, blog, and meditative music all speak to the “miraculously mundane” nature of being human. I firmly believe that through the sharing of resources we all can achieve massive freedom and liberation in whatever form we choose. To share all the things I learn is the core of my business. Simple, easy, and accessible.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is definitely a social city but I’m more in love with living nature and the most beautiful thing about Georgia is the trees. There are so many massive trees through Georgia, it’s amazing. There are also a solid number of parks throughout Metro Atlanta, and I believe I’d probably start there. Follow it up with a trip to Poke Bar which has several locations around town, I’m a fan of the tofu poke bowls and it’s better than any Chipotle or Subway.
There is a church in Norcross near Brook Hollow Parkway that is open to the public and very quiet on weekdays, I find it to be a very peaceful place to sit and think for a few moments. Never been to a service, but I love going when it’s empty.
I’m huge sports fan so maybe topping the night off with a Hawks game; excited to see Dejounte Murray.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to both my parents who raised me with all the resources available to cultivate my intellect and progression. They demonstrated mutual respect for each other and accepted me in spite of my struggles throughout the years.
