: I’m Jacobie Tarell Williams Born in Germany but raised in Birmingham Al. The middle child of 7 children grew up on the West Side of Birmingham Ensley in a family oriented but also violent and brutal neighborhood known as the “Brickyard.”After not graduating on time I pushed forward and completed a program the following year to receive my diploma. I still wasn’t happy though, because I thought I lost my dream of playing basketball. I was introduced to Bill Ivey who got me a scholarship to play basketball in California I moved across the world in pursuit of my basketball dreams. In 2009 I moved to Ukiah California. I was promised housing, scholarships, transportation and I didn’t receive any of what was promised to me. During this time I was at my lowest sleeping on team mates couches and stuggling just to eat. What I thought would be life changing and the start of my basketball career wasn’t going as planned. Until I discovered that my school was in the middle of marijuana county. I was introduced to legal growers and that’s when my life changed forever. I was touching so much money that I dropped the ball and picked up bud. I spent 10 years chasing money, not realizing God was chasing after me. I always held strong to my faith but I lost sight of what was most important, my soul. I watched so many of my closest family and friends die and be sent to prison I knew this wasn’t the path for me but I didn’t think I needed to change because at my core I was a great person. I literally had everything I wanted in life, the cars, the clothes, the friends, the girls, the social status. In 2023 I was involved in a wreck that should have taken my life, that’s when God spoke to me loud and clear! He told me to stop and Live for him or DIE!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It depends on what time of vibe their on but definitely to my mom house so she can cooked for them. Then hit my homies spots in the city. (Hush Lounge) (Cassanova Lounge) (Alibi Lounge). Definitely got to end with going to the Star Church to hear my pastor teach and preach

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First to the most high my God for giving me a second chance at life and sending his only son Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. Second my fiancé Aleta for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. For pushing and loving me when even when I didn’t deserves to be loved. Also my guy dear friend Gilberto for not giving up on me been patience with me and helping me to become better human being. Last my Pastor Dr. Thomas Beavers the compassion and grace he has showed me and also a great example of living a life of faith
