Hi Harold, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
From the beginning, I knew I wanted to create something built on purpose, passion, and consistency. Working in dealership environments taught me the importance of quality, leadership, and customer trust, and I saw a real opportunity to elevate the standard of professional auto detailing. My thought process was simple:
build a company that treats every vehicle like a high-end investment and every client like family.

I took my 18+ years of experience — from supervising detailing departments to mastering ceramic coatings, PPF, tinting, and more — and invested it into building Top Notch Mobile Detailing LLC, a company powered by integrity, results, and real relationships.

My goal wasn’t just to start a business; it was to create a legacy that my family could grow with, and a service that truly stands out in every city we operate in.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Top Notch Mobile Detailing LLC is the result of 18+ years of dedication, hands-on experience, and a passion for elevating the standard of automotive care.

What sets us apart is our commitment to quality, consistency, and genuine customer relationships. We combine dealership-level workmanship with the convenience of a fully mobile service, offering everything from full interior and exterior detailing to ceramic coating, graphene coating, paint protection film, and window tinting.

I’m most proud of the fact that we built this brand from the ground up—starting from dealership detailing in 2007, becoming a department supervisor by 2009, and officially launching our business in 2013.

The journey was far from easy. We expanded into multiple states, transitioned to mobile services, gained certifications, and adapted through every challenge the industry threw at us.

But those challenges are what shaped our resilience. Every setback taught us a new strategy, every obstacle forced us to grow, and every new opportunity pushed us to improve our skills and service offerings.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success comes from consistency, mindset, and treating people right. When you show up every day with purpose and pride in your work, the results speak for themselves.

Another lesson is the importance of evolving—investing in certifications, training my team, and staying ahead of industry trends to offer clients the best protection and detailing solutions available.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week and I wanted to give them the full experience, I’d focus on showing them what makes this city feel alive — the food, the culture, the energy, and the places that make you appreciate where you are.

We’d start the trip with some great food. I’d take them to a couple of my favorite local restaurants where the flavors really stand out and the atmosphere matches the vibe of the city. Good food always sets the tone for a great week.

From there, we’d hit some of the key spots around the city — places with good views, good music, and good people. Whether it’s checking out local lounges, exploring the downtown area, or finding those hidden gems that only locals know about, I’d want them to get a feel for the real heartbeat of the city.

We’d spend time at the best hangout spots, maybe catch a game, visit a few scenic areas, and make sure to check out some of the small businesses and creative spaces that make the community special. I’d even take them to some of the car meets or automotive events, because that’s a big part of what I love and it always makes for a fun experience.

By the end of the week, I’d want them to walk away feeling like they didn’t just visit the city — they lived it. Good food, good energy, and good company. That’s what makes a trip unforgettable.

I want to dedicate my shoutout to the people who have truly shaped my journey — because no success story is ever built alone.

First, my wife. She’s been my partner in life and in business, supporting every idea, every late night, every risk, and every milestone. Her belief in me has been one of the strongest driving forces behind Top Notch Mobile Detailing LLC. She is the definition of loyalty, dedication, and real partnership.

Next, my children, who motivate me every single day. Watching them grow into hardworking, focused young adults — and even stepping into the business themselves — has been one of the greatest rewards of my life. They remind me why I started this journey and why I continue pushing forward.

I also want to shout out the people who mentored, supported, and believed in me along the way. From early opportunities in dealership detailing to the business connections and clients who trusted my work before the brand was even established — each one played a part in my growth.

And finally, my team and every detailer and partner who has worked alongside me. Their dedication and craftsmanship help carry our mission forward and allow us to operate at a truly top-notch level across multiple states.
