We had the good fortune of connecting with Faye Sykes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Faye, what do you attribute your success to?
Being from the Midwest I was always told growing up to under promise and over deliver and I truly believe that when you stick to your word and do what you say that people see this, trust you and then refer themselves their family and friends to you. Since I was a child my family has also always looked at ways to give back to the community. When I moved to Atlanta and started my career in financial services I joined several non-profit boards and gave back to my community through volunteering. I find that when you are a giver with no expectation for anything in return people see this. Lastly hard work is important, doing the activities necessary for success is always important.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have two businesses, Social Security Benefit Planners- I am a top expert and was selected as the 2019 Social Security advisor of the year in 2019. I train CPA’s, Financial Advisors and the general public on how to maximize social security. We work directly with the general public and other Financial Advisors to assist in flat fee social security retirement income planning. There are almost 2,900 social security regulations and just like a CPA helps someone ways to minimize taxes, we help people understand what regulations apply to them in My second company is Scarlet Oak Financial Services and as a fee based independent advisor we review each client from a holistic overview. www.socialsecuritybp.com www.scaretoakfs.com https://www.prweb.com/releases/atlanta_financial_advisor_chosen_2019_national_social_security_advisor_of_the_year/prweb16848835.htm#:~:text=The%20National%20Social%20Security%20Association,%C2%AE)%20Advisor%20of%20the%20Year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had someone visiting in from out of town there is a couple of must do and see’s in Atlanta. The rooftop of Ponce City Market, Walking the beltline, walking the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the High Museum. For live music City Winery and Northside Tavern are always fun. For eating and drinks, NY Prime, Hal’s Steakhouse, Steamhouse Lounge, and Six Feet Under.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had several people that have been very helpful to me over the years. Attaway Linville CPA, Small Business Services and Marshall Jones CPA have been wonderful resources to me and my clients. Ryan Poterack who has been my mentor for many years who is a wealth manager in Charlotte, NC and Kristin Andree my business coach. Without saying my team of Melinda Scaturro, Morgan Roopnarine and Teresa Bath are the key team members that helps our business and clients get the service they deserve.
