We had the good fortune of connecting with Ezekial Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ezekial, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I strongly suggest # 1 – Discover your who and what : Knowing who you are and what you can bring to the table is success. This needs to be identified before ever taking a risk. # 2 – Just leap. We all are equipped with tools to build the life we want. By leaping, we are pushing pass the fear and choosing to activate our true power.
# 3 – Teach others on how to leap. Use your experience as a testimony.
My risk taking journey never seems to stop. It gives me opportunities to build and customize the life I want. It’s actually parallel to building a house. When I identified who I was and what I could bring to the table, ( land in which I want to build ), I was ready to take a risk and start building my new life ( the construction and development phase ) Next, I had to do something after the leap, I had to present myself publicly ( similar to an open house ) to people that were waiting on me
Always focus on what’s behind the risks and it will make leaping easier. It has not been easy, but it has been a process that I have learned to enjoy and trust.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am The ID Architect and the founder of The Morgan School of Identity Development. I have created a YouTube channel that houses the, “Flip Your Life” web series- an ongoing show about discovering one’s identity, developing that identity, and then delivering your new identity to an open market — all by using the concept of building a house. I believe that we are able to renovate and customize the life we want. My business has been specifically designed for everyone that has been impacted by the recent Global Health Crisis. Rather you had to close your business, faced a foreclosure, experienced major losses, or you’re struggling with building on your mental and emotional health, I am available to help you renovate your new life, creating your new normal.
What Qualifies me to Be A lifestyle Coach ?
My lifestyle was costumed-built. At the early age of 7, I was molested by a close relative repeatedly for several years. Family members would, out of their pain, physically abuse me by beating me with sticks. I was even held at gunpoint and became emotionally broken. This was traumatizing and as a teenager, I became suicidal on multiple occasions and battled an identity crisis and sexual dysfunction.
After years of abuse and trauma, I decided that I wanted to build my own life. Even though I have a pretty firm and solid foundation, there were areas of my life that needed to be inspected. So I did just that, and for years, I taught myself therapeutic approaches and allowed faith and hope to be my foundation.
In 2019, I took a risk and “Leaped” I relocated to California to pursue being a TV Host. While on this journey, I started a Wine Hosting company, which landed me an opportunity to be the VIP host for the 6th Annual African Oscars, I was also on the Administration team at the 88th annual Hollywood Oscars, as well as other celebrity hosting opportunities. Soon after, I lost everything I had and became homeless. But through it all, I kept going, developing a system to start rebuilding my life.
My Philosophy in life is simple: “Never Stop Building”
Because of this attitude, I went from walking the streets of Skid Row, sleeping in subway stations, abandoned hotels and going from shelter to shelter, to one day, living in a condo on the beach front in Long Beach, CA. After being in California for several years, and due to uncertainties, life happened again and I had to return to my hometown Birmingham, only this time, I had a vision, goals, an unstoppable hustle and a sharp focus on my new identity.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom. I couldn’t do anything or ever become who I am destined without this woman. She is my biggest fan and biggest success story. She used my system to flip her own life and today, she is truly a phenomenal person. I will always remember those powerful words:, “Wherever you go and whoever you meet, always take with you character and integrity” I have done this for years and it has opened up unimaginable doors.
To my personal development coach, Mr. Anthony D. Sparks, you helped me identify the most sensitive important part of my life – My purpose. Since I have identified my who, my what and my why, I am now able to help others, discover, develop , and deliver their new identities to the world. I am qualified to help flip lives because I have flipped my own life.
