We had the good fortune of connecting with Dimitri Fevrier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dimitri, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Honestly, it pursued me. Life felt bland until I picked up a camera—and everything changed. I didn’t know it could be a career until I saw someone from my state making a living from it. That’s when I thought, “I can create and sustain a life doing this.” The rest is history.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is rooted in storytelling. I’m a filmmaker and visual creative who’s passionate about capturing real emotion and meaning—whether it’s through short films, documentary-style content, or visual pieces that inspire reflection. What sets me apart is my focus on authenticity. I’m not chasing trends; I’m chasing truth. I want people to feel something when they watch my work.

One of the things I’m most proud of is staying consistent with my vision, even when it wasn’t popular or easy. Getting to where I am today took a lot of trial and error, faith, and perseverance. It definitely wasn’t easy—there were moments of doubt, seasons of silence, and doors that didn’t open when I wanted them to. But I kept going, because the calling never left.

I’ve learned that growth often comes through discomfort. You don’t need everything to be perfect—you just need to start. I’ve also learned to embrace process over perfection.

What I want the world to know about me and my work is this: I’m not just creating for attention—I’m creating for impact. My brand is built on purpose, not popularity. And if one person walks away encouraged, inspired, or changed by something I’ve made, then I’ve done my job.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want them to experience the best of what this area has to offer—great food, diverse music, and a deep sense of history. Over the week, we’d check out local gems like the New Stage Theatre for a live performance, grab a bite at Poke Stop, and spend some time outdoors at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park—either fishing or walking the trails. For coffee and conversation, we’d stop by Soule’ Coffee, a great local coffee shop with a relaxing vibe. It’d be the perfect mix of nature, creativity, and culture—everything that makes this place feel like home.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to God, the Bible, and Jesus. The Bible has shaped who I am, grounding me with wisdom and purpose. And even beyond religion, Jesus has been a steady guide—especially in the moments when I felt unsure or unseen. Any success I’ve had is a direct result of that foundation.
