We had the good fortune of connecting with Dani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My key driving force to becoming an entrepreneur has always been advocacy and legacy. I have a deep passion to advocate for my people, my culture, our future as a race. I felt the best way for me to do so was by taking matters into my own hands as an entrepreneur. I continue my work with dedication to be a change agent and with the drive to create a legacy for my children.

What should our readers know about your business?
Conveaux provides a variety of techniques that make what we do different and effective. When people utilize our services, we want them to leave wanting to make a difference with themselves and their communities. This is a safe place for people to use their voices to address the issues that society is allowing to hold us all back, to no longer be afraid of speaking up about their emotional state and mental health. We believe in breaking barriers and building stronger bonds. What differentiates Chat N Chew organization from others like us is that we give our attendees the opportunity to listen, share, learn, guide, network and continually work on personal improvement. Our service style does not force people to feel like they are in a lecture or therapy session. We lead by example by sharing experience, lending our guidance and also receiving attendees’ perspectives.

My most satisfying moment in business has been when I receive the feedback from clients. Learning how Conveaux has changed their mindset, their lives, and also their relationship status. It makes my heart smile when someone reaches out to say they found their partner because of Conveaux or they took their relationship to the next level due to what they learned from our services.

I find it easy to be relatable and authentic. I’ve learned along the way that sharing my own personal journey has proven to be by far the most effective practice in the services I offer.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to all of the black businesses in Harlem. We would visit the fashion leaders of Harlem; Harlem Haberdashery. The best places to eat like Melba’s soul food. And unique shops like Harlem Chocolate Factory for dessert.

You’ll find so much fun and culture in Harlem. There’s never a dull moment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My friends and family have played a major role in supporting me and my business through its growth. They have been the driving force behind the business operations and exposure to what I do with Conveaux
