We had the good fortune of connecting with Corporal Quigg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corporal, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We at Vinyl Frontier Records in Carrollton, Georgia strive to bring a variety of music to our community and surrounding areas by offering a huge collection of records and other various forms of music media of all kinds at affordable prices. We offer one of the largest selections of vinyl records in the West Georgia area along with offering a vast collection of CDs, cassettes, 8 tracks, and more. Weve been described as a “honey hole” by some of our regulars and have gained a reputation for customers leaving the store with a feeling like you just found a twenty dollar bill in your pocket you had forgotten about. If our customers leave feeling good, we feel we’re doing something right. The most important factor to our success is pleasing our customers and community by offering the best selection and service you’ll experience at a record store.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We at The Vinyl Frontier are very proud of the community we’ve built here in Carrollton, Georgia. We recently celebrated eight years open as a record store and are excited to see what the future holds. We have all been collectors our whole lives dating back to when records were the predominant format for consuming music through the rise of CDs & streaming and of course through the vinyl revival. We opened in May of 2016 and slowly had to learn the best way to approach and overcome many obstacles and challenges over the years. Starting a new business is never easy but with smart management and an incredibly hands on staff we’ve been able to overcome anything thrown our way.
We’ve learned community is what keeps us going. Lately we’ve been offering a lot more pop-ups for local bands and artists to book live shows or art pop-ups to help support the music and art in our community. If you’re an artist or band interested in booking with us reach out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Vinyl Frontier in Carrollton, Georgia hands down. You may not believe me because it needs to be seen to believed but you could spend a week in there and you likely will not have seen everything. Come check us out.
As far as food and beverage go, there’s really no better spots to check out on the Adamson Square in Carrollton Georgia than The Corner Cafe for some lunch and some evening drinks over at one of the local breweries, either Printer’s Ale or Local Ties. Corner Cafe has been a landmark here in Carrollton for over 30 years and have been serving up some scrumptious and strange sandwiches to rave reviews from its local community and surrounding area. Printer’s Ale and Local Ties are where you will find a great selection of homebrews with the local music playing every weekend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Trey Carter is our captain and is definitely deserving of our shoutout and all credit. His dream of owning and running a record shop like the ones he would go to when he was in college has breathed fresh life in our community providing a space for music lovers of all kinds to congregate and connect. Without his dedication and devotion to the love of music we wouldn’t be open at all. Thanks for all that you do Trey!”
