We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Triplett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, how does your business help the community?
It starts with the Digital Divide and E-Waste. PCs for People is a national non-profit social enterprise working to get low cost quality computers and internet into the homes of individuals, families and non-profits with low income. PCs for People also has the goal of keeping computers out of landfills and repurposing them to advance digital inclusion. As a non-profit organization we have the opportunity to serve not one but two very important causes in this world. An environmental cause with keeping e-waste out of landfills and a social impact cause, by providing low-income individuals, families and other non=profits access to computers and internet connectivity.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I serve as Enterprise Partnerships Manager for PCs for People Atlanta, what I believe sets me apart from others is that I’m always finding and focusing on the positive in everything that happens. Trying to rebuild a market and get your name/services out to the people isn’t always easy but remaining focused on how important the overall mission of bridging the digital divide, is often enough to keep me at work day in and day out. What I’m most excited about is all the valuable partnerships and connections that PCs for People Atlanta will make and are participating in for the year 2026 and beyond.

My journey to where I am today professionally started at H5 Data Centers Atlanta, I worked my way up from being a 2nd shift security guard to being a Team Lead for Data Center Support. Being a Team Lead for Data Center Support I naturally found myself being apart of the Data Center tours that would occur for potential colocation clients and it was here that my interest in sales was born. I didn’t mind what industry I was going to be in as long as I believed in the product/services but I knew I had a natural curiosity and slight talent for sales. I ended up doing Business Development for a Logistics Firm for a couple years after the data center and fast forward here I am, still in sales but for a much different organization with a mission that I personally identify with.

Easy is far from the word I would use to describe any part of my journey so far, I’d like to say that I overcame all of my past challenges and even the ones that wait for me in the future by being relentless and simply making the choice to fail until I succeed. As cliché as it might sound, life has taught me that there are no losses only lessons, you only lose when you stop going forward!

I want the world to know that just like you I am sure of nothing, except of the fact that no matter what I will continue to persevere. I believe this applies not only in life but in business, sports, etc..

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not the biggest baseball fan but in this case you don’t have to be, any time a visitor ask where is the best place in Atlanta to go I always recommend The Battery Atlanta. You could absolutely spend 3-5 days just exploring what the battery has to offer and finding something different each day. Some of my personal favorites in the Battery include Garden & Gun, Yard House and Punch Bowl Social. All of the places I mentioned are great for you get a drink and grab some food but I must reiterate that The Battery Atlanta has a ton of options to choose from.

Next, I have to mention another great location that offers a lot of choices and it’s the Avalon in Alpharetta. Although the Battery is my first recommendation, The Avalon has just as many great choices and is beautiful to see. There are destinations for friends and families of all ages and I must begin with one of my favorites, Branch & Barrel. Branch & Barrel offers some of the best food & drinks Atlanta has to offer and should be the first place you stop by when visiting the Avalon.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a special shoutout to Clark-Atlanta University and all the wonderful HBCU’s across the nation. Clark-Atlanta University is such a big part of my origin story and taught me so much about hard work, recognizing that this world is about people and connections, perseverance and finding a way or making one! These are lessons that I still hold very close to my heart and these lessons give me stability when life presents it’s hardships. Clark-Atlanta University was one of the first major test I experienced in life being the first to graduate in my family from an HBCU, I’m proud to admit that I finished with the trophy of Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration and I have CAU to thank for that!

Second, I’d like to shoutout the wonderful city of Chicago, Illinois! Born and raised in Chicago, 77th & Troy right off 79th & Kedzie to be exact. So many valuable lessons that taught me grit and made me appreciate the things in life that are free, the people that poured into me at a young age from my grammar school (Lionel Hampton) are a big reason why I am who I am today.

Lastly, I want to shoutout PCs for People for having such a wonderful mission and giving me the opportunity to do something I love and help someone who came from the same environment as I did.
