We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher & Angelica Fletcher & Finley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher & Angelica, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
This is probably one of the toughest decisions we as business owners have to make; especially when you manage a staff. We love what we do; cooking and making people happy with food is our passion. Dealing with the fluctuating economy, staff and their different personalities is more of when the question comes into play. There are a couple important factors that keep us going. Trusting God with the future and knowing what we’re doing is bigger than us. Also, you have to figure out your why and focus on that. Why are we working so hard? Even if we decided to give up; what are we going to do? So giving up in not an option for us because we find joy in what we do and so many people depend on us. Flavor Rich is not just for us now; we’re building a legacy for generations to come.
What should our readers know about your business?
Flavor Rich is Chef owned and operated; so we didn’t just start doing this because of the trend of brunch restaurants in the city. We are passionate about both food as well as serving. That’s what sets us apart from other breakfast and brunch restaurants. When you taste the food I want you understand why we came up with the name Flavor Rich. We create our dishes based off food we enjoy eating. We give our guests service that makes them comfortable and service that we would expect when we go out. I’m really proud of our ability to stay true to ourselves. It a lot of trends associated with brunch restaurants in the city and our ability to give consistent quality food and service at both of our restaurants and the food truck makes me proud. I don’t want us to ever get to big where the quality of what we offer falls off.
I wouldn’t say it’s been easy getting where we are today but it’s definitely been worth it. It took and stills takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Many late nights, early morning, financial struggles and staffing issues . We just had to stay focused on why we’re working so hard. You won’t struggle forever if you put the work in and trust God.
In business we’ve learned you will never be able to please everyone. Everyone is going to have an opinion; some not always accurate. All we can do is our best, and don’t lose the passion for what we do.
We’re so excited about the future of Flavor Rich Restaurant & Food Truck. We just opened our second location in Midtown Atlanta. We also have some other bigs announcements coming very soon.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to Shoutout everyone who has been supporting and still supporting us since we opened the food truck in 2018. The people of Suwanee that have embraced us and made our restaurant a staple since we opened in 2020. All staff that have worked tirelessly making sure guests have the best experience from food and service. Family that drives hours to dine with us and always bringing other people in. Most importantly our guests that are committed to dining with us every week. Even if they have to wait; it’s no complaints.
