We had the good fortune of connecting with Christiana Torere and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christiana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind launching LOVE THY AESTHETICS was simple “Do something that allows you to use your creativity” I knew if I made this my focus I would not only be successful, but also happy.

The initial thought process was the key important factor to staying on the right track and leading me to happiness in what I love.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Prior to launching LTA I was confused and mentally drained. I had recently opened a restaurant by the name of THE HOUSE (@atlthehouse) I was operating in the middle of a pandemic and people from all over came admiring the vibrancy of the house party concept that the space had to offer. I was indeed thankful but yet I still felt like something was missing. I am an advocate for having multiple streams of income in fact I call myself The Jack Of All Trades”  but I am a strong believer that we as individuals deserve to have that one thing that we could do everyday even if money wasn’t a factor; Once you have that you should consider yourself one of the lucky ones to have found your purpose. I was determined to be one of the “Lucy Ones” or better said “Blessed ones”

My initial thought process to do something that allowed me to use my creative skills was the key important factor to staying on the right track which lead me to happiness in what I love.

I have always had an eye for interior decor and pretty much putting together anything related to aesthetics whether it be decorating a dinner party table or trimming a christmas tree. I am a natural and I never owned this until now.
Being an interior stylist has allowed me the creativity in helping others be inspired by their surroundings. Launching Love Thy Aesthetics was the perfect twist. I wanted customers to have a selection of stylish pieces that you see in luxury boutique hotels because you shouldn’t have to vacation in order to surround yourself with beautiful aesthetics. All of the items and brands on the LTA website (LoveThyAesthetics.com) are all handpicked by me. I have selected worldwide brands/products from the US,UK, Africa and India to name a few. Some of the brands include TASCHEN, ASSOULINE, LIGNE BLANCHE and many more.

Overall I commend myself for not giving up on finding my purpose I could have settled and most people around me including family members thought I should have just been content with being a restaurant owner. As I stated I am truly thankful for all of my businesses, but I am glad that I chose to follow my heart by staying true to my authentic self and going after what I love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
On a chill day I like ponce city market to grab a bite to eat and delicious cocktail. There is also access to the beltline which is one of my favorite things to do in the city

On a fancy day let’s head to Shops of buckhead or somewhere in the cut with a nice rooftop where we can take a few awesome photos

On a good night I don’t care just as long as I had chance to eat at nice restaurant before we go but more than likely we will end up at whatever the latest lounge is at the moment. Atlanta is good for introducing us to new lounge every other month or two. LOL Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My MOM Valencia Price-Littleton for one teaching me about entrepreneurship at a early age.
