Meet Cheron Crouch: Licensed Professional Counselor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheron Crouch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cheron, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is “All behavior is a form of communication.” I like this quote because it forces me to be more curious and aware about how and what my behavior communicates about how I am thinking and feeling.
If you think about it, the way we behave is an expression of our thoughts, feelings and needs. Our behavior is often more accurate than our words.
I desire to be in alignment with my thoughts and feelings to ensure that my behavior and responses accurately depict my beliefs, values, and personality and how I am feeling. When my actions are not in tune with my thoughts (values, belief system) then there is a disconnect that I have to address.
This quote encourages me to be accountable for understanding my own needs. This is important for me as I hold many roles as a mom, daughter, business owner and role model to name a few. When I am not in alignment my behavior “tattles” on me. It is easy for me to recognize when am overworked because my behavior communicates exhaustion ( I get snappy!).
In addition, to using this quote for my personal use, I also use this quote to challenge my clients when their behavior/responses in therapy are not aligned with their stated goal for their life..
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud of owner of Magnifying Expectations LLC. Magnifying Expectations is a Behavioral Health firm that offers evidence-based treatment (therapeutic modalities to offer solution-focused strategies) to individuals struggling with suicidality, low self-worth and relationship difficulties related to depressed mood, anxiety and trauma. a
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor. I am the Inner Critic Expert as I address that negative voice in your head that keeps you stagnant and paralyzed.
I am most proud of the life experiences that I have overcome that allow me to have a first-hand understanding of the battle with depression, anxiety, and low self-worth. I have lived it! understand it, and I can help.
I am proud to be a part of the movement that normalizes people of color, especially women seeking help for emotional, behavioral and mental health needs. Its ok to be “not ok”. It is ok to seek help when that feeling of being “not ok” lingers for far too long
It is my desire to create a safe, optimistic space to unpack your feelings and start your journey to being ok.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shouout Glendora Dvine of DSG geogia for her coaching and mentorship around increasing my visibility. I want to shoutout Stefanie Huges of Therapy Offices of Stefanie Huges for her vision, friendship, PUSH, love and mentorship for the last 25 years.
