We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Gaub and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My office is full of both quotes and affirmations–but the one that is displayed on my desk right now says, “If you play small, you’ll stay small”. It’s something my coach once said to me. I love this saying because it is a gentle and loving reminder that staying in my comfort zone, quieting my own voice, or opting not to do something I desire to do because it’s ‘scary’ or ‘uncomfortable’ is not an option and will only keep me small. I think many of us, myself included, desire to play big in this world- to have an impact- and often we’re the ones keeping ourselves small. This quote reminds me that playing big and taking action is what creates a difference and an impact, in my life and in the lives of those I work with!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I work as both a coach and an energy worker. I am most excited about creating shifts in people’s lives- empowering others to move beyond stagnation and limiting beliefs to a place of clarity, growth and empowerment, so that they can create an impact in this world. I believe that when one person grows, it inspires others to do the same. My approach to coaching is grounded in the mind + body + spirit connection. I work with clients to close the gap from where they are to where they truly desire to be- in their lives, businesses etc. Like most people, I found myself doing all the “right” things, following all the “rules” and was left feeling completely and utterly unsatisfied, defeated and stagnant. I know the power of moving past that to creating an experience/life that is truly joyful and fulfilling. I love walking along side clients as they embark on that journey as well – whether working toward particular growth goals, creating clarity and abundance or starting/growing a service based business. What sets me apart is my approach to coaching- it’s not a one size fits all, but a collaborative and eclectic experience– often challenging those I work with to see and step beyond their self-imposed limitations. Cassandra Gaub Coaching & Consulting, Inc. was established in 2017, though I’d been doing this work prior to setting up my business- and let me tell you, starting your own business is a boot camp in personal growth and development! I have made many mistakes along the way but as a coach, and as someone who truly values doing my own work ( with coaches, therapists etc.) I have been able to navigate the process and have learned incredible lessons along the way. I passionately believe in doing our own work. I believe that, as Jim Rohn says, “Your level of success will seldom exceed your level of personal development” and believe we can only go so far alone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m newer to Atlanta, having been here just shy of two years so I’m still discovering all the city has to offer but if I had a friend visit, we’d probably do a few of these things : spend some time at Jeju Spa, hike Sweetwater Creek Park, grab some ice cream and walk the Beltline, take lots of pictures at Centennial Olympic Park, do a street art tour, swingy by The Battery, and take in some live music.

We’d also eat at Lee’s Bakery, The One Sushi, Gunshow, Buckhead Diner, Fox Bros Bar-B-Q, Julianna’s Crepes and Flying Buscuit
And grab drinks at The PCM rooftop and Brick Store Pub.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been SO many people who have helped me to get where I am right now – friends, family, coaches, therapists, – but my big shout out goes to my mama. She taught me be strong, to think for myself, question limitations, and has always supported me and my vision ( even if she didn’t always understand it).
