Hi Carolina, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Beyond Berry is our unwavering commitment to authenticity and quality. From the very beginning, our goal has been to recreate the genuine taste and experience of Brazilian açaí. This dedication to authenticity permeates every aspect of our brand, from the ingredients we use to the atmosphere of our brick-and-mortar location.

Additionally, we prioritize customer satisfaction above all else. We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations with every interaction, ensuring that each experience with Beyond Berry is memorable and enjoyable. By consistently delivering high-quality products and exceptional service, we’ve been able to build a loyal customer base that continues to support us everywhere we go.

I also think our innovative approach to location and branding has played a significant role in our success. By situating our brick-and-mortar location inside a shipping container right next to a dog park and volleyball courts, we’ve been able to attract a diverse range of customers and create a unique, memorable experience that sets us apart from other açaí shops in the area.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The journey of Beyond Berry has been a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and triumphs. Balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with my career as a full-time DJ has not been easy, but it’s a challenge I’ve embraced wholeheartedly. There were moments when self-doubt crept in, and I questioned whether I had what it takes to succeed. But through it all, my passion for sharing my vision and expressing my creativity has kept me going.

Beyond Berry isn’t just a business to me—it’s my baby. I pour my heart and soul into every aspect of it, from perfecting our açaí bowls to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. My perfectionist nature can sometimes cause me to second-guess myself and become frustrated when things don’t go according to plan. But I am trying to learn to embrace the unexpected and adapt to whatever challenges come my way.

There have been many sleepless nights spent brainstorming, problem-solving, and planning for the future. And while I know there will be many more to come, I’m fueled by the vision of a bright future for Beyond Berry, as long as I stay true to myself and my values. I’m excited to see where the road ahead leads.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love this question! So we would start our journey with drinks at the Clermont Rooftop, where we would see breathtaking views of the city skyline, and then head to The Local across the street for the best wings in the city. If we still feel like going out I’d take them to Jojo’s beloved which has the most beautiful dance floor where we can enjoy some 80’s music.

For some art, High Museum.
For some amazing food, DelBar, Grana, Eclipse di Luna, Yeppa, Hawkers, Pollo Primo and MF Sushi.
For the best espresso martini, Midcity.
For some day activities, Beltline, picnic at Piedmont Park and walk around Ponce City Market.
For nightlife, any party in Underground Atlanta, Palo Santo or El Malo.
For the best açaí in town, Beyond Berry.
For breakfast, Le bon nosh and Muchacho.
For summer days, rent a boat at the lake.

The journey of Beyond Berry wouldn’t have been possible without the support and dedication of my friends and family. Each of them has played a unique and vital role in helping me turn my vision into reality. Here are some of them:

Kyle, with his encouragement and belief in me, provided the initial push that propelled Beyond Berry from a mere idea to a thriving business. His faith in my vision gave me the confidence to take that leap of faith, and for that I’ll always be thankful.

Annie was also an indispensable pillar of support. Helping me with events, deliveries, passionately promoting our brand to everyone she meets, or simply being there to offer words of encouragement. Her infectious enthusiasm and belief in Beyond Berry have not only bolstered my confidence but have also inspired me to push forward, even during the most challenging times. I am immensely grateful for her support.

My parents have been my biggest cheerleaders since day one. Their belief in me has been the driving force behind my perseverance during the toughest of times. They’ve celebrated every milestone, no matter how small. Beyond Berry wouldn’t be where it is today without their unwavering love, and guidance.

My boyfriend has been an indispensable source of strength and support throughout every stage of Beyond Berry’s journey. His dedication to our vision, coupled with his tireless efforts behind the scenes, has been instrumental in our success. From the early days of brainstorming and planning to the bustling reality of running a brick-and-mortar location, he has been my partner every step of the way. Whether it’s spending countless hours building the administrative backbone of Beyond Berry, providing a shoulder to lean on during challenging times, or celebrating every victory—big or small— his presence has been a constant source of comfort and reassurance.I am deeply grateful, he’s more than just a partner—he’s been my confidant, my rock, and my biggest champion.
