We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Conner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to not only create another source of income for my associates and myself but I wanted to help facilitate dreams and passions. Oasis Studios is an accumulation of years of expertise displayed by individuals driven to create the greatest content possible, so why not share that with the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creating music and other entertaining content whether it is for promotional use or an actual project I bring a sense of individuality and personality seldom seen in todays entertainment I think. I’m really proud of opening Oasis Studios and forming Oasis Business Group and excited about the upcoming events and releases we have scheduled. It has definitely been a bumpy road to say the least but nothing worth having is usually easy to obtain. Keeping that mindset has been the fuel to get me to where I am today. I’ve learned many life skills that are applicable to both my professional and personal life like how to manage my time and my mind, also how to add value to any situation or opportunity. I want the world to know exactly what I have said here today but also to know that I can show them better than I can tell them!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I’d like to say out of all the cities I’ve been to or lived in Atlanta is one of the most diverse on so many levels. For breakfast/lunch I would take them to Home Grown or you can never go wrong with the local Waffle House. For lunch we would go to Edgewood pizza or 6 Feet Under off Memorial. Dinner would HAVE to be at Grand China off Peachtree Rd ! Thats one of my favorite spots of all time. We would also have to hit rooftop of Ponce City Market and this new spot called Putt Shack.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother and Quincy Jones are both huge inspirations to me.
