We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Seales & Jerrell Lamar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb & Jerrell, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We’ve always strived to bring a high level of cinematography behind every single project. Most creatives bring their own unique look to film but we’ve always stood out with our ability to create high end images, even with smaller budgets. That level of care is what separates us as a brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We’re most excited about today! We live in times where we put too much of a focus on the future without appreciating the now. So approaching every day with optimism and enjoying the moment is what we are most proud of. We got here simply by taking risks on every single project. We’ve push ourselves to see what we could do that was unique on every single project and I think that endurance finally has paid off.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d take them to the many pockets around the city that we’ve grown to love. A trip to the High Museum is always a must, just for inspiration. Then we would eat lunch at South City Kitchen, right before making a stop at The H.B.U.C. which is our home production studio near West End Mall in Atlanta. It’s always a great time to create in our studios, but we always appreciate the opportunity to create our videos simply by placing our life experiences in our work.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would love to shoutout the rest of the OPNSZN family. We’ve have a dedicated crew that has turned into family. Having started with just the two of us and expanding to over 10+ creatives, it’s amazing to see us come together in this way. Our family/friends, and clients over the years deserve tremendous recognition, thank you so much for trusting us with your art.
