We had the good fortune of connecting with Britney Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britney, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was in a period of my life where I was tired of working at a place where I was undervalued, overworked, and underpaid.

I wanted to do something more meaningful with my life, besides spend the next 35 years of it in an office. I wanted my time back, location freedom, and most importantly the ability to make money on my own terms.

I wasn’t afraid of failure. The only thing I was afraid of was never giving it a try. Stepping outside my comfort zone was the best decision I ever made.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve always rooted for the underdog in any story — the one that everyone doubts will make it, but by perseverance and determination, they exceed all expectations.

As an artist, I wasn’t used to selling myself. I lost myself in my work, but I never felt obliged to share that side of me with anyone. I was always used to being behind the scenes in my life. There, but not there.

With creating my business, it finally put me in the forefront. I had a voice, and it drove me to share it with others who may have gone through the same trials and tribulations that I went through. I had a desire to help others step into becoming their best selves, and breaking out of generational poverty.

My brand prioritizes living in your truth, doing things that set your soul on fire. I want everyone to know that you can have the life of your dreams. Anything is possible, and that’s the heart of my brand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Knowing my best friend, he’s into art and alternative fashion.

We’d definitely make a stop by Little Five Points to support the art scene and small businesses in the area.

Hiking Tallulah Falls would be our next stop. There’s something about nature that brings your soul at ease.

Bon Ton in midtown would be our next stop to eat — for the unparalleled vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my best friends and partner for pushing me to follow my dreams. They showed me the importance of living life according to my truth, and speaking power into my life to manifest my goals into being.
