We had the good fortune of connecting with Britnee Alphin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britnee, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I honestly didn’t even want to be a an entrepreneur. I enjoy being a “corporate employee” and helping companies build their empire. I’ve always loved helping others so growing someone else’s dream as an employee didn’t bother me. I ended up becoming an entrepreneur and small business owner because some companies couldn’t see past my lack of experience. I had to create my own table and build my own chairs because I had to get the creative thoughts and passions out of my head and into the community!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Oh man! Being a creative is TOUGH especially when there are so many other Dope creatives in the world. I’m a different breed, I will put off my passions to support and help someone else in their journey. If I believe in you THAT much, I will be all in to support you. Because of my heart, focusing on my own path is always tricky. I’ve learned along this journey to go hard for myself just as I would for someone else. I’ve worked hard learning trades that I’ve never been interested in (graphic and web design). Learning these things has made me into a self-sufficient entrepreneur and that is needed! I’m excited for the things God shows me while on this path to my purpose. I’m learning so much about how talented I really am and how articulate my mind is in creating content and vibes for the community. Honestly, if I never surrendered to God and to being a vessel for the community to see what determination, faith and endurance looks like, I don’t know where I’d be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man! First up we are eating because I’m a foodie before I am anything else! I am a true fan of Green Love Kitchen in Lithonia, GA. I love me some good vegan food. After that we have to go to the Beltline for some scenic views and King is Pops popsicles. Once that’s done we definitely have to go to the movies and wine down and end our visit at Zapatas in Norcross, GA. I love me some veggie tacos with a strong, tasty margarita. The way to my heart is food and margaritas and I love sharing those moments with my friends!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The community of women who pour into me, my husband, God, my kids and my supporters. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without you all and my ancestors. I am grateful to the people who go over the moon to support me, promote me, give me a spotlight to thank folks AND brag about how dope God is for gracing me with an unlimited source of creativity. I’m just thankful to the Universe and the community for always holding me down. Thank you!
