Meet Aryel Allen | Body Sculpting Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aryel Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aryel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted a better life for my family and to be more independent. I’ve been working since I was 15 so at the age of 27, I felt like it was time to spread my wings and start my own business. Working for myself gave me more control over my life especially with my peace and happiness. I have a daughter that looks up to me so I’m obligated to show her that the sky is the limit and that anything is possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Aryel Allen also known as Ary the Mermaid.
I am from College Park, Ga. The “soufside” of Atlanta where life was always a celebration. We was always “outside” from going skating at Sparkles or Skatetowne when I was younger to going to Club Ritz off Old National when I got older. The southside was a true definition of southern hospitality. Because of my upbringing, I am able to adapt to any environment and engage with all people no matter where they are from.
I am a body sculpting technician and the owner of my very own beauty bar (Ary the Mermaid’s Beauty Bar).
We specialize in enhancing your beauty by helping you lose inches as well as contouring your body. What I do motivates people to live a healthier lifestyle. I am showing them that there’s still hope!
I have grown so much in business throughout this year by remaining focus and pushing myself. I took risks even when I was scared. I still took that chance because I always look at the bigger picture and knew that major things were on the way.
This journey was definitely not easy but it was worth it. I prayed and meditated to keep myself aligned and stress-free from those temporary obstacles.
The lessons I learned along the way is to keep going no matter what. There is someone always watching you! You are an inspiration to someone so you have to keep going!
I pursued this beauty career because I have a passion to serve people. I have a caring spirit so to do something that will not only make you feel good in the inside but also make you look good on the outside.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots in the city and even in the out skirts of Atlanta are Nouveau Grill, The Hide-A-Way, Bar ATL, Traffix and Bonfire Atl.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a dedicated shoutout to my entire family especially my mom. My mom have been my rock through it all. When I’m down she picks me right back up and reminds me of who I am and what I am capable of.
My daughter A’Taja is only 5 years old but she deserves some credit and recognition as well. Once I became a mom, my superpowers was activated! She shows me unconditional love and how to appreciate the small things in life!
