Meet Anna Robaczewska | Childway Art Space Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Robaczewska and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business came from observing how much emphasis our world places on perfection. I noticed that many kids are afraid of making mistakes, and parents often try to make everything perfect for their children. Unfortunately, this can stifle creativity. I wanted to create a space where, from the very beginning, kids are encouraged to experiment, make a mess, and understand that it’s completely okay to make mistakes. I wanted them to discover and explore materials freely. Process art is truly magical—it nurtures creativity, curiosity, and skills that benefit children in many areas later in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an architect and interior designer who graduated with a Master’s in Fine Arts. I’ve spent the last 20 years working as an architect, but deep down, I always missed the pure joy of creating art—painting, sculpture, and hands-on exploration. When my children were born, I began sharing the magic of the art world with them, and it opened my mind in ways I never imagined. That experience inspired me to create a space where other children and parents could discover, explore, and fall in love with art too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ve only lived in Georgia for about two years, so most of the places I explore are kid-friendly. But honestly, that’s part of the fun—Georgia has such a family-oriented and nature-filled vibe. My favorite spot is definitely the Chattahoochee Nature Center—it’s beautiful, peaceful, and a perfect place to connect with nature. I also love the Atlanta Botanical Garden (and the restaurant there—it’s a gem!). For history and culture, I’d add in a stop at a historic museum in Atlanta. Between the trails, gardens, wildlife, and good food, that’s my version of showing someone the best of Georgia.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my kids, Leon and Frank, who showed me the importance of not being afraid to create, and to my husband, who supports me and builds so much of what makes Childway possible!
