We had the good fortune of connecting with A’bril Elon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A’bril, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process to start my own business was a simple as it could be. I never wanted to work for any other company or business. I have always like to be ” in control” over things in my life. Having the ability to work when I want to work or not and being in control over the amount of money I can make with no limitations has always been an outstanding highlight of my life and over my thought process about how things “should” be. I work in a total of three states, GA. CA, SC, and I also have traveled for work in NC, NY, IL, FL, and soon come TX. and DC. I worked at Sonic during the summer of my junior year of highschool. I knew after those 3 months of working there that I was not meant to be a regular employee at any job. The joys I have and the freedom that comes with being your own boss are limitless. Especially being young, single, with no kids.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One thing that sets me apart from others is the versatility that I offer with my work. I do not only cater to women or men alone. I offer a variety of different styling options to a vase amount of people in age, races, lifestyles, etc.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to eat seafood! The first spot I would take my friend to is Juicy Crab for sure. I love to bar hop as well so I would take whoever to Peters street or the bars off Roswell road so we could get several different vibes without moving around to much. I am all for “childish” fun, so anything that involves interaction, like bowling, skating, gun ranges, riding the scooters downtown to sight see.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I honestly have to only thank myself. Of course I thank all of my clients who have supported me over the years. I believe that goes without saying. However, I have built myself up in the beauty industry from the ground up. No handouts, no mentors.
