I have different quotes, affirmations and mantras that I use in different situations but here are a few of my favorite ones that I wanted to share with you! One favorite quote of mine is “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you”. This quote is one that I use in my personal life and business affairs on a daily basis. I strive to treat people fairly in all that I do in order to receive the same type of treatment given to me. It’s the golden rule to life in my eyes and once you practice this principle, I believe that you will prosper if you follow this code of ethics. In the broader aspect, “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you” is connected with another favorite quote of mine which is “Reap what you sow”. This quote is very important to me because I believe that everything you come into contact with such as people, nature and situations are a reflection of what will come back to you or someone connected to you in your lifetime. Both of these quotes represent a need for me to push positivity and light into the negative and dark aspects of the world by brightening the lives of others. Read more>>

Matthew 6:34 says: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own. Anxiety and mental health has really been an important issue to deal with this year specifically; and my chosen profession can drive you crazy with anxiety. Am I going to book this? Am I doing something wrong? Why am I not booking? When is my next audition going to come? Does this person not like me? Do I need to change my look? I mean there are a million things that come to your mind that will really drive you crazy if you let them, and the fact of the matter is that you have very little control over ANY of the factors that might land you a job. For me this quote helps me to stay present. It helps me to not get defeated by the thoughts of tomorrow, and to do the best that I can today. Ironically, when you’re present you tend to be a better artist. Read more>>

There was this time that I had to find something powerful to say, to my siblings, that would make a lasting impact. At the time, I wasn’t aware of how significant my words would be later in life, I just knew I needed to say “something”. As I think of everything that’s been happening to me, I think back to that little girl on the stairs at six years old when I first built my internal wall. I think of the day my sister became my angel (RIP). I think of the things I’ve been through and the things I want. “We can sit in the corner and cry or we can go out and dance in the rain. Either way, the storm is coming” I came up with this quote when my siblings and I were living in a house without lights, water or gas. I had no way to bathe us or flush the potties. We had very little money, so we all had to share a pack of hot dogs and a box of mac n cheese that we cooked on the BBQ grill. I was still too young to get a full-time job and DFACS was on our backs. Our “parents”, needless to say, were/are not a prominent figure in our lives. Read more>>
